  • Actually you can tell where the secret exits are. Yellow dot levels mean just 1 exit, but a red dot level means there's a secret exit.

  • these gamespot reviews are crap

  • one of the coolest games ever made for the gba

  • I forgot about this guy I miss his reviews lol

  • This music makes me slee-zzzzzz....

  • the levels that hold the multiple exits are marked with red dots.....no hassle to figure out what hasn't been completed yet....weird

  • I LOVE THIS GAME, to bad my friend lost it, and plus the game is all famous now -__-

  • @nmsll I used to have kirbys knightmare in dreamland i let my friend boorow it and his friend stole it. I bot another copy and my friend at at my bus stop took my game out of my bopok bag came the next day if i want kirby for 5 bucks. I said no because i just cant trust that guy anymore

  • This game is so AWESOME, too bad my friend lost it -_-

  • Fucking hell man, you sound stoned. You review games for a living try to sound a little more excited please you boring fuck.

  • @TornadoCreator

you do realize this is way back when Gamespot STARTED doing video reviews.... Yeaahhhh that's basically like complaining that old black and white cartoons animate weirdly. This was before there was even a standard as to how to do a proper video review. No one knew how to do one. Their modern videos (including this guys' videos at GiantBomb) are NOTHING like this.

  • @Shaanyboi

Are you trying to tell me that someone new to reviewing, because they've never done a review before has therefore had no experience of public speaking or the concept of feeling passionate about something? My 3 year old cousins never done a game review before either but when he's telling me about a cartoon he was watching he can at least excited by it, and considering this is his JOB you'd think the guy directing/producting this review would tell him "more feeling please". Bloody hell

  • While this isn't the most exciting video review, I'm impressed that he gave this a...rather high score (considering this was a while back and they were more harsh back then) and did praise it quite a bit, also...considering this is Jeff Gerstmann, he's rather harsh sometimes :P. Remakes often get something lower than a 9, but he gave this a 9.4, which is pretty good for a remake.

  • actually mario world and yoshis island are my favorites. mario 3 is great but its meh compared to this beast of a game

  • i understand stealing my gameboy but did the stupid kid at my school really have to steal all my games with it

  • Ai... they made one fatal mistake in this game...

If you get hit and you ''wear'' a feather, you will first become super mario instead of what whas on the SNES normal mario... It's uber easy cuz of that...

  • i think that the best mario games are yoshis island and mario 3

  • @GamingShadow01 in my opionion those are my least faveorite but we all can have our own thoughts

  • The gamespot video reviews sucked a long time ago. I do miss Jeff Gerstmen's reviews, they where great. This one was well... dull and depressing.

  • @Eman2t3 yea i miss greg kasavin

  • I still own this game. I have had it since 2003 or wait... I can't remember. I have 5 stars on this game and really every thing unlocked. Accept the yoshi coins switched to peach coins. Well this game gets really repetitive when you own it A VERY LONG TIME. Well it is a good game any way. Really if you get upset at games easily I would not suggest getting this game it gets hard near the end. Once you master the game it is easy and unlocking stuff is easy.

  • He does look so disinterested, and so's the music.

  • God, I bet he had a hang over. He looked so....whats the word?

  • Jeff Gertsman....why do you look depressed?

  • how much is this game and where can u buy it?

  • I love Super Mario World, but I will always play SNES version, not this one.

  • I understand foamyfan. But the gameboy port is still a good younger brother that can stand with the snes version. I love the GBA version more because not of the extras but because I can Mario anywhere.

Plus I defeated it. HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT BOWSER!?! No more the princess is in another castle. How does it feel to be deafeated on the GBA port huh?!

  • what's better- yoshi's island for gba or super mario world for gba? caz i wish they would compare similar games in these reviews so i could get a sense of which ones are the best.

  • i havent played any of them but this has smb1,2 and 3 so this is probably

  • Damn Jeff is terrible here..

  • Awesome game worst reviewer

  • Super mario LAND???

  • Super Mario Land accompanied the launch of the Game Boy, I guess...

  • i actully almost feel asleep when he was talking

  • Awsome game but he makes it sound boring

  • he proply didnt really want to do this review that much

  • I concur, this game is great, one of my all time favorites but its giving me a headache

  • yeah but if you ever watch his reviews he always talks like that
