Because his wrestling skills were absolutely horrible, he actually makes John Cena look good. I could pick a number of better people that could have replaced him. He was an ex football player with no wrestling experience or credentials, not to mention he botched the majority of his matches due to the fact that he wasn't a pro wrestler. He always wore his crappy football jerseys instead of The Four Horsemen attire as if he didn't give a damn he was a horseman. He simply was a one trick pony.

"Mongo" really wasn't that bad of a wrestler, at least in terms of a brawling style. He was one of the only guys in Goldberg's early days to give him a good run for his money as well.

And why the hell does everyone shit all over Paul Roma? Sure he may not have been the ideal Horseman, but in terms of technical and high flying ability, and overall in-ring quality, Roma was an outstanding competitor. He could go & was also leaping to the top rope with no hands long before Shelton Benjiman too.
