same happens mine it seemed to have only happened when i created so many videos, on mine i press play video and it will play up to half then the video will freeze but the sound dosent but it dosent crash wmm though. to me it seems wmm is good when you start fresh because once i start making many videos it just gets annoying
What it could be is that you got some Uber virus. My computer got some big virus and had problums and eventually wouldnt turn on. i had to get the harddrive wiped for $200... that is US so I dont know the translation to Euros so w/e. i bet that there is a computer wiz you could get to fix your problem for real cheap.
man i have problems uploading vidios ONTO wmm becuase .MOV formated vidios arnt compatible with wmm and i realy want some good vidios on my chanel but...IT JUST HATES ME! god its just not fair...

That is why I hate Movie Maker, worst editing program ever -_-.
Maybe you can save the video in a different format and edit the saved version.
You should get Sony Vegas, it's a much better program, but a bit complicated.
