es ist eines der besten konzerte weltweit. danke an jimy page und john paul johns, john bohnham und natürlich robert plant.ralph aus deutschland bad woerishofen...
True Story...Zeppelin concert in 1971...Ft.Worth,Texas...I was an usher at the concert...shook Robert Plants Hand before show....They played Stairway To Heavn I had never heard it before was not so impressed...then heard it a hours later first time on Radio.Impressed!!!!
I was at this concert...sold out in two hours...near riots at the ticket outlets....Jimmy had a good buzz going (so we thought)...he broke a string during the Stairway solo and tripped over his wah-wah kicking off Rock and Roll...recovered nicely on both...had great seats five rows up stage left -- the PA was suspended from the ceiling, so no obstructed view of stage...50 feet from Jonesy the whole night...good show...
Jimmy still was at the top of his game in 75. If you read the LZ75 book by Davis, JP started hitting the heroin by the end of the 75 tour when Plant got into the accident in Greece. kudos to all of you who recognize Bonzo being the best of all time.
I was at this concert. To the guy that went through the plate glass window. I found myself being shoved against the glass and somehow got out of there. Same thing happened to my best friend. His little brother fell in the door when they opened it for some reason and they sold him 7 tickets. I remember waiting at the store next door and seeing the ambulance coming for you I guess. What a great concert it was.
I saw the '77 Greensboro NC show, it was Bonzo's bday. the memories this brings back are priceless. I just wish someone had that show. thanks so much.
@liquid1961 Supposedly the whole 77 tour is on video because screens were used at every show and recorded just like every Earls Court show from 75 was videotaped but for some reason we could only see stuff from 2 of the 5 shows
the journey of jimmy page is a strange and mysterious thing. still my favorite.....and even some of his strange playing in '77 has a great and painful sound to it.
@Eliguitar1 Agreed. He sounds so thin sometimes. Painful is a good word to describe it. Although, I thnk his rhythm playing remained strong throughout.
sweet - so love hearing a FULL concert - other than what I have on DVD / CD - awesome ♥ so want to go back in time - and follow them all over the states, and boy would I ever !
notice how bonzo alway's do's a small tap before 'zep explode's. - this is a great find. sir,you score everytime! and you've done it again. thank-you,for this.
@Eliguitar1 Page`s heroin addiction was starting to debilitate him by this time.He was a mess .I always thought the `73 tour for the Houses of the Holy was the best they ever performed together, before Plants` throat surgeries and Pagey`s junk days.
@AZEIDJSKSQMM yea, yea, seems to be an era from 72-73 where Page and the lads were really getting inventive with the extended solo parts of Dazed and WholeLottaLove and other tunes that is un-matched in later years.GodBless `em ,I dont know what hard rock would have been without LedZeppelin to set the bar for musicianship and songwriting.

What a GREAT sounding boot. I don't think all the critics realize what a great show this was during this 77 tour. They're all pretty on.

Not their tightest, but nonetheless, Zepplin.

is it true at one point jimmy fell down, or almost did?
they said he was hitting a bottle of jack daniels onstage.
i missed this show but saw them two years earlier
i dont think anyone has that show recorded in any way.
if so, its must be a truely rare boot

Rumours abound that the hoarders have this concert on video. Pretty cool if it ever sees the light of day to make up for Seattle 77.
