standard 350 easily very very easily cruises at 70-80kmph why aren't you doing that?

@TheDafc - Its not about what speed it can do, its about what speed you want to do. And the bike was almost brand new then, was still under run-in period.

The thump defines the bullet,

i am too confused between machismo and std/electra , wondering if a mach could ever produce a thump like that, watched a vid of 500LB but the thump wasnt close to the one produced by CI run bullets.

@#meharidude - You have to know how to ride it. It cannot handle mistreatment. Its a 60 year old engine after all. And If reliability was the criteria, then there is lot of plastic flying around..go for it..

Thump is awesome,

I ride mine in 4th gear and at slow speed around 35-45. Try that, thump sounds best.

Thank the European rules for the death of the classic Bullet engine. Plenty of them around thank heavens and spares will last for years yet.

@arounuin - AFAIK the production has been stopped, and this was one of the last fw to come out of the stable. They have introduced a new STD, but with a UCE engine. To have the original CI engine classic, you need to buy a second hand bike and get its redone. It would be as good as new.

dude this is grt, i badly want to buy this std 350, but i heard that they have stopped the production, is it true? i dont know exactly because i'm living abroad, so plz provide me some infos on buying this grt guy. some people also tell me that i can get one through the remaining or refurbished stocks in the factory though the production being stopped. is it possible?
