I just bought the melonite version this week. I put 250 rounds through it at the range yesterday. All I can say is sweet sweet sweet pistol. I tried the Glock 19 and 23, the M&P 9mm, and the XDM had the nicest trigger of them all. The glock felt good in my hand, but the trigger was crap. I am extremely happy with my purchase. Hope you are too.

How much was the transfer fee to your local shop? Don't they have a flat fee? I asked my shop and they want 100$ for the same gun. Other shops are listed for 25$ but I'm pretty sure they are going to say something different once I stepped in their store.

I already had an XD 45 ACP, and really love that gun. Yesterday, I purchased the XDm 9mm 3.8 (all black) at my local Gun Show here in Texas, and I think I'm in love! My favorite feature is that it can be converted from a compact to full size pistol in seconds. Not sure yet how I feel about it not having the external manual safety, but I think I won't miss it. Next, I will look into the CrossBreed holster you recommend. Gracias, amigo!

I put a deposit on 3 of these in black today, one for my Mom and her boyfriend as well as one for myself. I rented the full size XDM 9 and loved it. Can't wait to pick them up this week!

Good choice for holster ;) have a CBST for my fullsize xdm9. Plan on getting the compact to replace it as my EDC.

I have the XDM full-size .40 and I want this gun so bad. The full-size is hard to conceal but this gun will be perfect. I use the Galco Summer Comfort IWB for mine. If I had to do it again I would use the new Galco King Tuck holster. Nice video and can't wait to see your shooting review.

@those2idiots43ver Yeah they just released the compact in .40. I have not seen any in store yet but they should be coming soon.

I put the first 400 RDS through my XDM9c yesterday and had zero malfunctions. As expected, this one preformed as outstandingly as my XDM 40 and XD 45. In the last few years I have become a very big fan of the Springfield line and would recommend them to anyone without any hesitation. The XDM9c will be replacing my current CCW very soon.

@EyeSmart ;I replaced my XD45 with the XDM9c. I now have considerably less concealment issues and can expand my wardrobe options. The XDM9c works well with my individual threat assessment and defensive capabilities and modern defensive ammunition does a good job at leveling the playing field between the two calibers.

awesome awesome gun! i own the regular sized xdm 3.8 9mm in bitone also..it just looks, for the lack of a better term, SEXY. ive shot about 500 rounds of different brands and type of ammo and havent had a single misfeed or failure to fire..enjoy popping the cherry on this one brother and keep us updated!
