i taught evolution to my 6 year old nephew and my mother teaches him creationism when he comes of a more mature age he will understand both and choose which one he believes hopefully evolution but ill respect him either way
Can't believe this horrible indoctrination. The bible says ' For those who take the faith away from the little ones, it would be better if a millstone were hanged around his neck and drowned at the bottom of the sea.' This disgusts me, all the people that teach children this would surely rot in hell.
And what do you propose we teach about god? Should we teach the scientific truths we've discovered about god? If so, what are those scientific truths about god that we've discovered? I don't know of any.
@ninjajesus81 Hey nin there are no scientific truths about god. god(s) are rubbish. On this I think we agree. God is a non-refutable hypothisis and as such is not worth debating
@ninjajesus81 you know how u can breath the air but u cant see it? thats the exact same thing with God. do u really believe the WHOLE human race came from monkeys??? get a bible and read it. it will make much more sense then this evolution thing.
@Divalicious3890 I can feel air, I breathe it, I can hear it, I can even see it sometimes. None of my senses can detect any god.
Do I believe humans came from monkeys? No. Humans ARE apes, but humans evolved from other apes that existed millions of years ago.
I've read the Bible and it makes no sense. Evolution makes perfect sense. No piece of evidence ever found contradicts evolution, because evolution happened. It's a fact. And no evidence can contradict reality.
@ninjajesus81 you cant feel air. that made no sense if your going to try and prove a point make sure it makes sense. you cant see air either. (a tornado does not count.) we are living in the last days i do not understand how people like you cant realize that and except it. The world will end (by world i mean the bad people and things in it) and if you fail to realize that god is real you will not be saved for Armageddon. god is real because Jesus is and Jesus is gods son.
@Divalicious3890 I can feel air because I can feel temperature and I can feel the air moving. That makes perfect sense.
And I can see air too. What is air made of? Gases. I can see gases. Dry ice sublimates into carbon dioxide gas, which is a component of "air". You can see that sublimation.
We're living in the last days of what? Earth? Prove it.
God is real because the Bible says Jesus is god's son?
Wizards are real because Lord of the Rings says Gandalf is a wizard. Make sense?
@ninjajesus81 We are living in the last days because things are bad. they are not how they are supposed to be. Kids as young as 12 are smoking cursing and having s+x. parents are killing there children as young as the age of a couple of months. God did not want the world to turn out like this it ALL started with Adam & Eve Satan the Devil tricked Eve and made her turn away from God. and Adam turned from God too. The bible is true. like i said if you fail to realize the truth. its your mistake.
@Divalicious3890 There was a volcanic eruption 70,000 years ago that almost made humans go extinct. The human population got down to the thousands. There were only enough people to fill up a stadium to watch a football game.
Today we have 7,000,000,000 people and we have the highest life expectancy in history.
You have the audacity to say we're in the last days because things are bad? And your example is that kids are smoking?
@ninjajesus81 ok when Armageddon i wont be as insane as you think and if it doesnt come before you grow old and die when it does come you will not come back to life. im trying to help you and you call me insane? i know what im talking about and you will too soon.
@ninjajesus81 ive told you all i can tell you for now. i was trying to help YOU out. you will know the proof soon enough. im done with this conversation. Goodbye.
@Divalicious3890 So you can't prove anything, but you want me to believe everything you say. Why should I? Because you're telling the truth? How do I know? Why should I listen to you over the Muslim telling me the same thing about his religion? Or the Hindu telling me the same thing about his religion?
If you can't understand the problem here, then you're not very bright at all.
@ninjajesus81 lookas long as i know what im talking about im not worried about you.i tried to help you but you didnt listen its your loss. insulting me and calling me stupid wont make u any smarter. i proved my point and if you dont want to listen its your life your going to lose not mine.
@ninjajesus81 wow now you are going to try to tell me what i believe and what i dont? stop being so immature. people like you really have no lives so you try to control others over the internet. people like you need to sit down and think of a way to make their lives better. because trying to start a fight over the internet is just plain sad. goodbye and dont bother replying because im just going to delete it. i dont want to get on a website and the first thing i see is some idiot trying to argue
@Divalicious3890 I'm telling you what you know, not what you believe. You can believe whatever you want. I'm sure you do believe you know what you're talking about, that doesn't mean you do.
@Divalicious3890 There's a huge and growing mountain of evidence for evolution. There's no empirical evidence of a god at all.
If you Google K-T Boundary you'll see why we know that the Genesis story is wrong.
If you Google Project Steve, you'll see that scientists, especially Biologists, know that evolution has been happening. The smarter, better informed, and better educated people are, the less likely that they believe in any of the many, many gods that people have made up.
@ndrthrdr1 im sorry but i don't want to get involved with that kind of stuff i believe in god and always will. everything has a creator EVERYTHING. and its sad that god made the ocean the trees the clouds the plants and some people still don't believe in him.
Annoyingly loud music, but good to see that at least some American kids have a brain. Lets hope the Fundy Morons dont get their way and further dumb down America
Buddhism is older than christianity and it still has millions of followers today does that make both christianity and buddhism and hinduism and janaism and vedism true?
@TheYipedo It survived those 150 years of scrutiny, sure, but so has Creationism (much longer, in fact). It is debatable how well each held up, however.
Actually, I have. The fossil record is not concurrent with Evolution, there are very few Transitional fossils (and those that exist are possibly fake), while there should be thousands upon thousands of Transitional fossils.
@UltraSwat Creationism has not survived at all. It is rejected as non-scientific by all but evangelical christians. Every fossil is a transitional fossil as all organisms are a stepping stone of change. There have been some fakes and they are easy to spot and have been exposed.
@TheYipedo Evolution requires just as much faith as Creation. We believe that God created the earth, and we have an explanation for it. Atheists believe there is no God, and make an explanation for that.
I apologize if I came off a bit strong in my first comment, I should try to look through your thinking a bit more and not assume facts that I have not yet shown.
Atheism: a LACK of belief in a god. Which means that we don't believe in a god, and not that we believe there is no god. We have explained over and over that the evidence creationists (and other religions in general) have provided so far is mostly laughable and the small portion of the non-laughable evidence ... well I haven't seen it yet.
@krneki I agree but I would put it this way. I dont believe in a god because their is insufficient evidence, if evidence did come to light I am prepared to change my mine (open mind), unlike theist whom refuse to change their minds if evidence supports a theory that is against their religion (closed mind).
@TheYipedo Any competent scientist will tell you that SCIENCE CANNOT PROVE ANYTHING. As for your example of atoms, it is possible that they don't exist. We can't see them, right? It is possible that some other force is responsible for what we have assumed to be atoms. This is of course EXTREMELY unlikely. None the less, it is possible. In the past there have been many scientific theories and even scientific laws that have been proven wrong.
It is also possible this entire universe is fake. Maybe it is a virtual universe, created in order to test artifical intelligence algorithms.
My point is that everything may be possible and scientists are here to eliminate the improbable solutions and find the one that fits our observations best. It does not mean that this solution is guaranteed to be true, so if you manage to disprove it, congratulations you just saved the scientific community from wasting years on a false theory.
@UltraSwat no science can prove everything given enough time you're just too lazy to learn the math to understand how the quarks and leptons work which compares exactly with the standard model. suck it.
I love how they say it as if fact. Evolution needs to be taken as it is: an unconfirmed hypothesis. We can't be there, so we can not know with absolute certainty. Especially with all of the conflicting evidence for creationism and evolution.
@UltraSwat Evolution is a fact. We know inherited traits and gene pools of a group of organisms change over time. The theory of evolution by natural selection only explains how creatures evolve (through natural selection). Don't create a controversy when there is none. No one has EVER seen an atom either, but why is it that I don't hear people screaming "Oh, the atomic theory is ONLY (which by the way proves that these people are scientifically illiterate) a theory"? That's right - religion.
@UltraSwat Evolution is the unifying idea of Biology. It hasn't withstood 150 years of scrutiny for nothing. All these zealots who openly lie to gullible people about how there are so much gaps in evolution DON'T even know what natural selection exactly is. If you look at the evidence from fossil records, geographical distributions of organisms, comparative anatomy, DNA analysis, OBSERVED natural selection and OBSERVED speciation, then you'll understand why it's a very strong principle.
@UltraSwat We can be there it is happening every day not something that happed in the past only. When farmers breed dogs that is using evolutionary tools, breeding animals and plants on farms also. Genetics demonstrates the mechanism of evolution. It is all there if you want to look and learn. The only reason you dont accept evolution is you being brain washed as a child. I feel for you.
All the hypocritical Christians condemming the parents for teaching kids evolution. You do exactly the same thing (worse in my opinion), brainwashing and indoctrinating children with your Christian and conservative views. Read Plato, morality is all relative, nowdays things are one way, eventually its another. We have just as much right to teach our children what we think is true, as you do to indoctrinate your children. Stop being damn hypocrties and grow some damn balls.
Beautifull, lovely, children. Only difference being, when THESE children grow up, they won't kill, YOUR children, in a religious frenzy. THAT'S the diffence. Plain and simple.
It will be better for Sodom and Gomorrah on the last day than for the people who indoctrinated these children with lies. God I pity them, their destruction speeds to meet them.
This is purely satanic. Using "cute" little cartoons of an old man representing Charlies Darwin under the pretense to manipulate a child's belief away from God into the lie of evolution. God is so disgusted that these children are being led away from him by the adults He entrusted to tell them the Truth.
@JesusLovesRoger Ah Riight. And He LOVES Jesus Camp. Cause that makes sooo much sense. CLEARLY teaching verifiable science is in cahoots with Satan. Have you ever heard of Ken Miller? Might wanna look up that satanic evolutionary biologist. He did a little less "straying" from God than you might think. Also, try looking up the Baptist Minister Robert T Bakker. And didn't Catholicism also accept evolution? Funny how satanic these people are.
@JesusLovesRoger I think God would be more pissed at the person going around telling people what "he" thinks based on pure presumption or contradictory testiments.
The adults who brainwashed these kids with the lie of evolution will have to give an account as to why they turned these kids away from God. I would not want to be in their shoes.
I don't know what your biology background is, but if you study adaptations you'll see that it's not rubbish at all. It's common sense: animals that are better adapted to their environments survive longer and have more successful offspring. Then their offspring continue the pattern, and over many generations, a species can experience significant changes.
@ReligiousFiction Sure things can adapt. That doesn't violate science. Where you get into shaky ground is when a bunch of small minute changes somehow 'pile up' into changing something to a different kind of animal. That is rubbish - i.e. hogwash, baloney, bull sh... you get the idea.
@CiscoWes - Actually, Cisco, in this case you're the one that's making a scientific claim without evidence.
What could possibly PREVENT all of those small changes from adding up and causing a speciation event? Especially small mutations that affected the procreation of any organism.
@ReligiousFiction Nature. We haven't observed one kind of animal even hinting at changing into another animal. Furthermore, we do not see any evidence that such a thing happened. What we observe, and what doesn't violate science and physical laws is microevolution. Even though its a bad term, minute adaptations happen and are observable. When you run into trouble is when you try and say macroevolution happens. You have left science and entered into a belief, or what is called a just-so story.
@ReligiousFiction Sure, minute adaptations WITHIN a kind is fine. Its observable, doesn't violate science, or physical laws. I have no problems with that. You can actually see this in nature and it is observable. What we have a problem with is when you say that somehow, all those little changes pile up into a sudden change from one kind to another. That isn't science.
@ReligiousFiction And I don't know why you don't grasp fundamental genetics. You can only pass on the genes that you have. New genes don't appear by magic. Therefore evolution is impossible.
@rbright79 - You're forgetting mutation. Mutations occur mostly from miscopying DNA & from radiation (ie cosmic radiation, which is natural and not man made). Each and every gamete in your body is mutated. Most of these mutations are in our junk DNA (Neutral). But some affect the active parts of the DNA. These can be beneficial, neutral, or harmful.
You are the one postulating that these mutations can't add up, so YOU need to provide a mechanism by which they wouldn't.
Wonderful, but WHY WHY WHY must the music be so loud you can barely HEAR these fabulous kids? Sigh. When did video-making evolve into a double noise necessity... language and pictures are not enough, we need a freaking banjo or we can't maintain attention? Sigh again. I am getting old, I guess.
The girl at 1:50 is brilliant. She's can't be more than 10, can she?
Natural selection is one of the concepts of evolution kids just 'get'. Animals passing on strong traits to their young just makes sense for kids. Some adults should start thinking with the logic they've evolved and not the single book they own.
@ Bumdark. That's my daughter! Thanks so much for the kind words! Her and her Dad are big fans of Darwin and thought it would be a hoot to record a video talking about evolution. My daughter figured out what to say by herself and they ran through a couple of versions before they settled on the one they sent. Husband has been sending out the URL to all our family and friends! lol!
@mjr256 The video is proof that idiot parents are putting some extremely stupid theory that pineapples and porcupines share a common ancestor. Ray and Kirk don't believe that a pineapple and a porcupine share a common ancestor. Or humans and field mice are related. Small children can be misled and buy into stupid theories just like adults. mjr256 that's what the video proves.
@mjr256 No they don't. The existance of God is plain and obvious just by looking at creation. They only turn away from God when some adult brainwashes them with the lie of evolution. Evolution has never been proven. It is a buch of water weak hypothesis based on lies, assumptions and hearsay. If we came from monkeys, why are there still monkeys? Evolution is an excuse to deny the reality of God.
If it's so "plain and obvious" prove it. Saying something is true is entirely meaningless unless it can be demonstrated. And the vast majority of the planet have no problem accepting both a god-belief and the scientific fact of evolution, so you're creating a false dichotomy there. And contrary to your statement, evolution has indeed been proven. You don't even know what evolution is. Evolution doesn't say we came from monkeys. If you came from your cousins, why do you still have cousins?
@mjr256 Creation itself is proof of God. To fabricate another reason is beyond absurdity. People make up delusions and believe them rather than believe the truth. Human beings are prone towards this type of foolishness. Someone may have all the signs of cancer, yet ignore them, attribute them to something else, "Oh it's just the flu, oh it's just athritis". If that person dies who's fault is it?
You can just as easily say our existence is proof of leprechauns or genies or of Chronos & the Titans or of Harry Potter. All are equally implausible & unfalsifiable, especially when far more plausible explanations exist that actually are falsifiable & are supported by mountains of evidence. To throw up your hands & just say it was magic is intellectual laziness & doesn't really answer anything as you're positing something more complex than the very thing you're trying to explain.
@rbright79 You said: "people make up delusions and believe them rather than believe the truth." Kind of an ironic statement coming from someone who believes in magic... don't ya think?
@rbright79 don't be ridiculous. evolution is a sign of god. i believe in god, and i accept the theory of evolution. it doesn't have to be over a billion years, and although i think darwinian evolution is more or less crap, the process itself is undeniable. otherwise, neanderthals would still live and we would be deemed evil by them because our existence 'den[ies] the reality of god'.
@rbright79 It has never been tested. With the exeption of dogs, bannanas, fossils, 200 years of testing, and eye witnesses. You can't get better results!
As for the monkeys argument, do you have any idea how evolution works? If a speices is devided into seprate enviorments they will evolve into seprate speices for thoughs enviorments.
Also, name 1 person who became atheist sololy because of evolution.
i taught evolution to my 6 year old nephew and my mother teaches him creationism when he comes of a more mature age he will understand both and choose which one he believes hopefully evolution but ill respect him either way

@buffboynick I thought you were serious for a second! Ancient astronaut theory haha

@buffboynick ah, so you're a fan of pseudoscience, just another whacky fringe, even less logical than creationism.

This is purely satanic. Using "cute" little cartoons of an old man representing Charlies Darwin under the pretense to manipulate a child's belief away from God into the lie of evolution. God is so disgusted that these children are being led away from him by the adults He entrusted to tell them the Truth.
JesusLovesRoger 1 year ago
@JesusLovesRoger Ah Riight. And He LOVES Jesus Camp. Cause that makes sooo much sense. CLEARLY teaching verifiable science is in cahoots with Satan. Have you ever heard of Ken Miller? Might wanna look up that satanic evolutionary biologist. He did a little less "straying" from God than you might think. Also, try looking up the Baptist Minister Robert T Bakker. And didn't Catholicism also accept evolution? Funny how satanic these people are.
Ripley747 1 year ago
@JesusLovesRoger I think God would be more pissed at the person going around telling people what "he" thinks based on pure presumption or contradictory testiments.

The adults who brainwashed these kids with the lie of evolution will have to give an account as to why they turned these kids away from God. I would not want to be in their shoes.

Sonbola1990 2 years ago
I don't know what your biology background is, but if you study adaptations you'll see that it's not rubbish at all. It's common sense: animals that are better adapted to their environments survive longer and have more successful offspring. Then their offspring continue the pattern, and over many generations, a species can experience significant changes.
ReligiousFiction 2 years ago 30
@ReligiousFiction Sure things can adapt. That doesn't violate science. Where you get into shaky ground is when a bunch of small minute changes somehow 'pile up' into changing something to a different kind of animal. That is rubbish - i.e. hogwash, baloney, bull sh... you get the idea.
CiscoWes 1 year ago
@CiscoWes - Actually, Cisco, in this case you're the one that's making a scientific claim without evidence.
What could possibly PREVENT all of those small changes from adding up and causing a speciation event? Especially small mutations that affected the procreation of any organism.
ReligiousFiction 1 year ago
@ReligiousFiction Nature. We haven't observed one kind of animal even hinting at changing into another animal. Furthermore, we do not see any evidence that such a thing happened. What we observe, and what doesn't violate science and physical laws is microevolution. Even though its a bad term, minute adaptations happen and are observable. When you run into trouble is when you try and say macroevolution happens. You have left science and entered into a belief, or what is called a just-so story.
CiscoWes 1 year ago
@ReligiousFiction Sure, minute adaptations WITHIN a kind is fine. Its observable, doesn't violate science, or physical laws. I have no problems with that. You can actually see this in nature and it is observable. What we have a problem with is when you say that somehow, all those little changes pile up into a sudden change from one kind to another. That isn't science.
CiscoWes 1 year ago
@CiscoWes - Please watch my video 'Dawkins says; look at the evidence for evolution.' Click on my username to get there.
We HAVE observed speciation in many species.
We HAVE evidence that it has happened billions of times.
It DOESN'T violate laws of nature.
You haven't supplied a law of nature to explain what could possibly prevent small changes from creating a speciation event.
ReligiousFiction 1 year ago
@ReligiousFiction And I don't know why you don't grasp fundamental genetics. You can only pass on the genes that you have. New genes don't appear by magic. Therefore evolution is impossible.
rbright79 1 year ago
@rbright79 - You're forgetting mutation. Mutations occur mostly from miscopying DNA & from radiation (ie cosmic radiation, which is natural and not man made). Each and every gamete in your body is mutated. Most of these mutations are in our junk DNA (Neutral). But some affect the active parts of the DNA. These can be beneficial, neutral, or harmful.
You are the one postulating that these mutations can't add up, so YOU need to provide a mechanism by which they wouldn't.
ReligiousFiction 1 year ago

Husband has been sending out the URL to all our family and friends! lol!

Even further proof that Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron are idiots. Even small children have a better understanding of evolution.
mjr256 2 years ago 41
@mjr256 The video is proof that idiot parents are putting some extremely stupid theory that pineapples and porcupines share a common ancestor. Ray and Kirk don't believe that a pineapple and a porcupine share a common ancestor. Or humans and field mice are related. Small children can be misled and buy into stupid theories just like adults. mjr256 that's what the video proves.
CiscoWes 1 year ago
@mjr256 No they don't. The existance of God is plain and obvious just by looking at creation. They only turn away from God when some adult brainwashes them with the lie of evolution. Evolution has never been proven. It is a buch of water weak hypothesis based on lies, assumptions and hearsay. If we came from monkeys, why are there still monkeys? Evolution is an excuse to deny the reality of God.
rbright79 1 year ago
If it's so "plain and obvious" prove it. Saying something is true is entirely meaningless unless it can be demonstrated. And the vast majority of the planet have no problem accepting both a god-belief and the scientific fact of evolution, so you're creating a false dichotomy there. And contrary to your statement, evolution has indeed been proven. You don't even know what evolution is. Evolution doesn't say we came from monkeys. If you came from your cousins, why do you still have cousins?
mjr256 1 year ago
@mjr256 Creation itself is proof of God. To fabricate another reason is beyond absurdity. People make up delusions and believe them rather than believe the truth. Human beings are prone towards this type of foolishness. Someone may have all the signs of cancer, yet ignore them, attribute them to something else, "Oh it's just the flu, oh it's just athritis". If that person dies who's fault is it?
rbright79 1 year ago
@rbright79
You can just as easily say our existence is proof of leprechauns or genies or of Chronos & the Titans or of Harry Potter. All are equally implausible & unfalsifiable, especially when far more plausible explanations exist that actually are falsifiable & are supported by mountains of evidence. To throw up your hands & just say it was magic is intellectual laziness & doesn't really answer anything as you're positing something more complex than the very thing you're trying to explain.
mjr256 1 year ago
@rbright79 You said: "people make up delusions and believe them rather than believe the truth." Kind of an ironic statement coming from someone who believes in magic... don't ya think?
YurNotSpecial 1 year ago
@rbright79 don't be ridiculous. evolution is a sign of god. i believe in god, and i accept the theory of evolution. it doesn't have to be over a billion years, and although i think darwinian evolution is more or less crap, the process itself is undeniable. otherwise, neanderthals would still live and we would be deemed evil by them because our existence 'den[ies] the reality of god'.
FreedomValentine 1 year ago
@rbright79 It has never been tested. With the exeption of dogs, bannanas, fossils, 200 years of testing, and eye witnesses. You can't get better results!
As for the monkeys argument, do you have any idea how evolution works? If a speices is devided into seprate enviorments they will evolve into seprate speices for thoughs enviorments.
Also, name 1 person who became atheist sololy because of evolution.
