  • the best thing about metal its just like 'FUCK YOU SOCIETY, THIS IS REAL FUCKING MUSIC'

  • 20 cave qui aimen pas ton cover ..bahh perso tu es vrm bien ^^

  • drop?

  • 2:31 = THATS RIGHT!!! I love this part. Pantera will always be a legend.

  • Ohh. so just normal drop d tuning? I can do that then. :D Drop d tuning isn't too hard for me to get anymore.

  • @jedimastergarcia87 This song is not played in drop D, it's down one and a quater steps, so tune to D standard tuning, i.e every string down a step, then, if you have an electric tuner tune each string down again until the little needle is teetering between the two notes, like for the D string it'll be flipping between D and C#.

  • @XpanterafanX most of pantera's heavy shit was played in drop c

  • @bigslam18 No I promise you it wasn't. Dime didn't like dropped tunings and he only ever wrote a handful of songs which were dropped. He used a combination of E (Cowboys from Hell, Domination, Shedding Skin), D standard down 1/4 (Walk, A new Level, Revolution is My Name) and C standard (13 Steps to Nowehere). This song I is standard D down 1/4. C doesn't even sound right and if you watch live video's of it you can see he plays the main riff with power chords meaning it couldn't be dropped.

  • @XpanterafanX All of dimes tunings were 1/4 tone flat. I have the Great southern trendkill tab book and it says they are pretty much all tuned to C#, but in reality most of that album was in his D tuning down 1/4 except 13steps and Drag the waters, but the last 2 songs Underground In America and Sandblasted Skin he dropped the top string to G which I never seen anyone do before. But alot of them songs ppl transposed them to a drop tunings

  • @XpanterafanX i have an interview with dime from an old guitar world magazine, and he says he wrote the song in drop d, along with i believe (but i may be mistaken since its been so long since i read the article) medicine man. but he explained that he just played it in D standard cuz thats what he was most comfortable with.

  • Oh. I'm gonna be playing the song in standard tuning though if thats ok because I don't know that tuning, I only know drop d tuning. I played the song in standard tuning lastnight and it actually sounded ok to me, I know it won't be killer heavy but don't jump down my throat about it.

  • @jedimastergarcia87 To play in this tuning, tune down every string by 2 steps. If you want to make it perfect tune them an extra 1/4 down(a bit hard to get) but it's not a big difference. The tuning is called standard D.

  • Comment removed

  • What tuning is A New Level in? Sounds like standard tuning to me since you're able to do the power chords. Other tabs says to play in drop d or drop d tuned down half a step so I was just confused. Nice playing though and killer Razorback.

  • @jedimastergarcia87 its all tuned 1 1/4 steps down from natural

  • dude your really good keep it up brother

    R.I.P Dimebag

  • what do you use for your guitar sound? its F*in awesome

  • I wrote and recorded an original song, don't expect anything flashy but it would be more than apprieciated if any of you would watch it.

  • Not bad, but i prefer madonna's cover of this song

  • \m/

  • well done!! \m/

  • CAN YOU PLAY THIS SONG youtube.com/watch?v=7DldI22ObPo ?

  • That was amazing keep up the amazingness. 10/5 stars

  • i think you added to much of the original song i couldnt really hear you playing...much respect tho!!!!!

  • Dimebag lives through him

  • Dimebag was god !! how can he make that riff and complicated solo ???

    respect him !

  • that solo is fuckin' spot on!!

  • nice

  • please god give us back dimebag!

and you can have lady gaga

you don't have to listen to her singing, just send her to the devil :)

  • i think this is played in drop D, actually...

  • @athlonbob No, it's D standard at 430 Hz...

  • I just tune to Db Standard at 440HZ and it sounds almost perfect for Floods, walk, A New Level, etc. PanterA for fucking ever.

  • @Anarchyffan dimebag played in Drop D

  • @athlonbob not exclusively i am sure that there are really only a couple of tunes in drop D i know he used to keep it all standard most of the time that's E and D standard regardless of his tuning tweaks.

  • @kingdarko he didnt really tweak the tuning itself, he tuned down like 30 cent or something like that so that the closest tuning to it in 440HZ is the flat version, like Eb standard, or Db standard, or D# standard and C# standard for those of you who dont know flats.

  • @Username123226 Yeah you get the idea, in riffer madness he says how he tunes to C# standard then adds 40 cents to bring it up and that would be how he'd tune his guitar to D standard. So really it's D standard -60 cents but if i wanted to play with the record just tune to the song.

  • @athlonbob he actually played in a few different tunings dude.. Typically a d standard or Eb. in cemetery gates he played a 1/4 step down from standard.

  • @athlonbob actually he didnt .. if you watch the dimebag clinic video he's obviously doing a power cord and not baring them down ..

  • dude, the gods speak through YOUR guitar!!

  • Fucking bad ass shit right there!

  • Best Cover Than Ever... Great Man!!!

  • yo u are fucking bad ass man

  • Al Borland covers Pantera

  • in the beggening he puts his hands over the first 3 strings ebg all the way by the 20 fret and roates the pick on its flat side in little circles up the string

  • FUCKIN RAW!!!!!!!

  • 14 people missclicked the like button and pressed accidentaly the dislike button cuz of the headbanging!!!!!!

  • FUCK ! subscribed.badass.\m/

  • the bass sounds like farting

  • @masoudnima this comment made me laugh uncontrolablly for a few minutes

  • @masoudnima

Dude, that's how a fucking bass actually sounds. But fags like you don't know because you don't know how to find it in music.

  • @coons1212 lol dude chill i was kidding, i know what bass sounds like :D

  • @masoudnima How dare you...

  • @masoudnima That just means hes playing it right!

  • tunning?

  • @Emptyworld2 1 and a quarter step down i believe

  • how're doing the thing at the begining 0:03 ?

  • @lukaa9 palm mute while tremolo picking the strings

  • @lukaa9 palm mute while tremolo picking just mess with it till you get it

  • your are the new dimebag

  • @Jay2426 no body will ever be the new dimebag so shut up

  • @heartagram112894 well yea no shit ya fuck, just saying that he is pretty damn good

  • @heartagram112894 he didnt literally mean it like that he meant that guys fucking sick at playing guitar so you should shut up

  • Omfg, I love the guitar riff *-*

Its the most epic guitar riff of all time, no doubt about it :DDD

  • That. Was. Awesome

  • It is not drop D right?

  • @augusrockhouse23 no actually. This song is actually played in standard D tuning. What that means is that you how theres the standard E tuning like what metallica or megadeth uses (metallica uses standard Eb nowadays but whatever), it's tuned like that exact same way only as whole step down which is Standard D. You tune your 6th string to D and then your 5th string down to G, then 4th down to C, then the 3rd down to F, then 2nd down to A, and your first string to D also. hope that helps.

  • @MusicJamin330 thanks, I had a doubt with a tab i read

  • @augusrockhouse23 yea, no problem. tabs can sometimes be wayy off but as long as you get the good tabs, the ones that have a 5 star rating then I think you'll be fine. all drop D is is when you tune your 6th string to D and leave all the rest of the strings how you would tune it in standard E and then that's all there is to that. that would be stuff like if you want to get into metalcore (I personally am not a big fan of), then it would be stuff like Avenged Sevenfold or something.

  • dean guitar :) btw @ KillTheChandeliers, everybody on this plantet can't like this video, the rating is for see how many who liked it and whose not liked it, i bet u disliked many videos that other people love, we are all different and we like different things, not so funny if anyone liked just guitar? so go kill yourself! -.-

  • stupid and jalous fucking comment,!!

  • @danielthibault I didnt know jealous was spelled like that in the english language

  • hey how do you do that little intro thing, i cant figure it out

  • @ixcaliber You need just do do a "pickslide" over the G and b strings with the side of your pick. You just have to go as you would pick the strings, but as said, as a pick slide....Kinda like up and down...And then you go higher from the bridge to the neck. Sounds best with the bridge PU. ;)

    Greetings from Germany.

  • fuckin sick

  • nice shirt!

  • Dude how do you get your tone? It's fuckin solid

  • this is it!

  • LO PARTES !!!! YOU ROCK !!!!

  • Ever think about making videos showing people how to play Dime's leads?

  • Getcha a fuckin pull off that shit.

  • Can you tell me how o create that scratching sound at beginning?I'm relatively new with electric guitar, used to play acoustic much.thx

  • @lemmycro Slide your pick at the second string like you were having parkinsons or something. Remember to slide at the 24th fret

  • Um i never heard of pantrea? ike why dont they have lyrics or anything?

  • @goku614209 They do haha, your watching an instrumental cover of it, all Pantera songs have lyrics in them you should check there songs out. :)

  • Stop Complaining bout the flag and its connection to racism, Keep in mind that the guy playing the guitar is ASIAN!!!!

  • FUCKING KILLED IT

  • its just perfect..

  • dude ur sound is unbelievable

  • groso!!!

  • @fanuvgod1 Mines was Cowboys From Hell and im working on Cemetery Gates now!

  • how the fuck do u get that sound, omg

    I need to know:P

  • A very expensive guitar and rig :)

  • i would kill, maim and slaughter for this shirt god damn it !!!!!

  • PERFECT COVER MAN, you rock

  • What would I give for DFH.........

  • dude thats fucking awesome dime wold be proud

  • its drop d and prettey easy to play but it sounds bas ass as a mother fucker

  • @DesecratePk its not drop D its 1 1/4 steps down. i have never ever seen any of his record songs in drop D

  • @dimerocks123 well if you wanna cheat and do it the easy way its drop D haha

  • @DesecratePk thats not the easy way, that just a total fail and you just end up playing it wrong

  • @ixcaliber i can play it perfect, and it sounds the same...

  • @DesecratePk yea, you're probably doing barre chords then, so your playing it wrong. I can argue that I can go and play metallica tuned five steps down, which would be true, but id have to play it very incorrectly

  • what techniques worked bestfor you to achieve such a fluent speed when your playing???? awesome vid bro!!!! \,,/,

  • man excellent cover you kick ass!!

but anyway could you please tell me the tunning you used for this song thanks man

    lets kill them?

  • wow!

    RIP Dime

  • Amazing man!

  • Pretty damn good man! You would make Dime proud.

  • I'm not sure if he`s playing, not to cause an argument but during the solo you can here a open e being it a dipped a bit, but he doesn't play it, also the last notes of the solo are played on the 15th fret of the e and b string (I've seen dime do that) he plays it on the 12 but still gets the same sound

    ?

  • @UKRCyanide I think he may be tuned down thts why he plays off the last notes of the solo. Also i think he has other guitar recordings thrown in with the bass and drums like a rythym track. Idk but good eye.

  • this video is for listen and enjoy the music not to fight for racism !

    good video halcyon1871 !

pd : sorry , but i dont speak inglish very well .
