  • Morin Huur is the most intelligent instrument i have ever seen and listenned!! It suits every kind of music. You can make rock, metal, classic, jazz, folk ..with this excellent instrument. I admire Mongolian culture, love and respects from Turkey Mongolian friends!

  • Well Ok i came here just by coincidence for search of the sound of this violin called morin huur but I found ouf its somewhat connected with the story of the rider and his horse, I am not very much into this brother of altaic nations storytale, because I am of different natin so it made me think that all pople who think alike are the same nation. People who have to the need to gather in tribes in search of power are actually weak ;]

  • aliens exist !!! they didn't like this song!!!

  • Greetings from Hungary

  • @attilavkovacs ur from hungary

  • Nice! I like it!

  • this song's title is "Morin tuwurguun"

  • what is the title of this song please? and i LOVE it! i want to try and play on violin ^ ^

  • whats the title?

  • that looks like a violin bow... or do they just look shockingly similar?

  • optimist000 No, we aren't brothers. The Altaic language family is just a controversial theory which has been criticized and rejected by many scholars. Now, there are three separate language families instead of the Altaic family: the Turkic family, the Mongolic family, the Manchu-Tungusic family.

  • Bat-Ochir Araanz, morin khuur player

  • Every time i hear the sound of the Morin Khuur it sends a shiver down my spine. What a beautiful sound it is.

  • the animation in this video is great. wonderful when the eye of the silhouette turns into a tear at 4:07. i love the morin khuur and the imagery it invokes.

  • 0:21 Хятадын Бумбын шашины Дао сүлдийг ичих ч үгүй тавьчих юмаа.

p.s: Animation of Khukhuu Namjil and the music are great! Incomparable... Khukhuu Namjil is the real legend about Morin huur not Chinese Sukhee, lol

  • @1234sisko

i can help you if you really want to get morin khuur - i've bought one, when i was in mongolia and met mongolian women who promised to send me any instruments worldwide. but shipping isn't cheap - check out the DHL site, probably it should be listed somewhere. the fiddle isn't very expensive, about $100-200 for learning purposes.

anyway, they have more incredible instruments, like the cymbals and some kind of a harp. catch them all ;-).

  • goy video

  • why do we look for stupid music dependant on technology???

The purpose of the instrument is to make music. Music is not made for the sake of having instruments.

  • mongolian traditional music

  • foreighn people wount understand this clip, couse they dont know the fairy tail

  • After the comment from Neverdyingpride I searched up & down for the fairy tale related to the 'Morin Khuur' aka Horse Head Fiddle. It's so nice & beautiful...

Why do we look up for stupid music depended on the technology. I'm from Sri Lanka & I didn't know about morin khuur or Throat singing until recently. Asian & Eastern countries have a rich heritage & culture. We have to protect them & preserve them for future generations.

Listen to this music, made from only TWO strings on the instrument

  • @J33v3ndra I am from Philippines. I love also pure acoustic music, but hates electronic music even electronic musical instruments. Electronic music/instruments distort real tones that make it so unnatural and annoying for our ears.

  • this video is dumb, but the music is some of the most beautiful i've ever heard!

  • ene aya chine morin khuur bish morin tuvurguun gedeg aya sh dee. buruu bichtsen bna.

  • brilliant!!

  • Absolutely amasing.

  • Fantastic ! I'm not abble to find any others words. Check part from 1:39... Great !

  • It is amazing.

I am from Brazil, a christian country of portuguese origins in South America, and i can be in contact with such great sound. Never know that this instrument is the ancestor of the violin, so widelly known.

    Great video!

  • It's Mongolian national music

  • first time watch this and i like the music and story.

  • Where can I find more music by this artist? I tried searching for "A.Bat Ochir" but this is the only hit I got.

    Thanks.

  • The legend says of a poor man who had the magical horse which could run faster than a wind and even fly on wings. The horse gets killed by jealous rich man who was loosing all the races. The man made a musical instrument from the horse to mourn and to express his sorrow in remembrance of his best loyal friend.

  • is that Jalam Har(black horse) story?

  • nop

  • No, it's Kuku Namjil's story.

  • I didn't know the story, but the music is very melancholic. and speaks for itself

  • yup... a little shop in Ulaanbaatar Right near the central square...you can watch them build them too...I brought one back to canada with me.

  • What title is this song?

  • "Morin khuur" by A.Bat Ochir.

  • Oh.... I sorry. "Morin Huurch" by A.Batochir

  • this is awesome! =)

  • Could somebody please tell me the names of people who play this instrument? I want to try buy some CD's, i especially like the slow, more soulful style of playing the Morin Khuur; thanks!.

  • Ene clip ikh sonirholdoi bn,yamar nertei ay be?

  • Morin Khuurch

  • миний монголын ариун хөгжим

  • One of the few musics that touch my heart

  • This music is all I've known since I was born. Makes me miss my HOMELAND. Outstanding performance.

  • This beautiful...what is the name of the instrument he is playing?

  • The morin khuur (Mongolian: морин хуур) is a chordophone of Mongolian origin whose name roughly translates as "horse-head fiddle" in English. It is played with a bow and produces a sound which is poetically described as expansive and unrestrained, like a wild horse neighing, or like a breeze in the grasslands. It is the most important musical instrument of the Mongolian people, and is considered a symbol of the Mongolian nation.

  • trully amazing!
