@Trude174 Well the Spartan II's weren't intended to be as disposable as the III's. They weren't all supposed to die, they were supposed to fight as long as they could. III's were sent on high risk, high casuality mission were death was very likely. It was worth more to lose a squad of 5, then 100 marines. John has only survived because of luck. They've made that very obvious.

@tehDevious if you read the ghost's of onyx it says that during the battle of new mombassa there was at least 5 other spartan IIs that i can name (kelly, fred, kurt, linda, and will) there might have been others probably not cuz like you said MOST of them died on reach

I'm not trying to say that people should stop playing CoD, but I'd like to express my opinion on why I prefer Halo over CoD. For one, Halo focuses more on being a fun game while CoD is more realistic. As a result, Bungie focuses more on gameplay and storyline while Activision focuses mainly on graphics. And yes, let's just listen to the music, That's why MKTUROK117 posted this video for.
why don't we stop comparing Halo and CoD in the first place? They are different games, with really very little in common. Both have their merits, both have their faults. so what if you like one better, and another person prefers the other? Its not the end of the fucking world, it won't kill you, and there are certainly more productive things to fight over if you just want to be one of those people who cause conflict and make the world a little more awful. Play the game you enjoy and get over it.
CoD seems to be almost completely geared towards casual gamers. It is extremely easy to get good at and almost anyone can pick up a controller and play. The population casual gamers grows with every CoD game that is released. Halo, Battlefield, and Gears are less accessible than CoD , especially Gears and Battlefield, and therefore will always be less popular. All three of these are much better games than CoD will ever be.
Both games are good in their own way. I just don't feel too comfortable playing CoD as much. Besides, Halo is a game you can ALWAYS go back to. CoD is just a fad until it gets boring or until the next game comes out.
i doubt many cod haters have played cod, and many halo haters have played halo.
I have honestly played both--IMHO they are their own genre--even though they are both FPS they still have distinct differences. If you come here to say halo sucks you have a problem--just as if you go to a cod video to flame you're a retard.
Both games are good but if I had to pick I'd still pick halo...
@Kossrifle I agree, when I play COD it's completely different from Halo. I find COD requires more stealth since the Camo actually sorta hides you and you get killed generally easy. @tehDevious Wrong sir, Most of the surviving Spartan-II and some III class were with Dr.Halsey on Onyx. They were alive but alot of them had died with most of the fighting on Onyx. But they're were more Spartans that were still alive.

@tehDevious if you read the ghost's of onyx it says that during the battle of new mombassa there was at least 5 other spartan IIs that i can name (kelly, fred, kurt, linda, and will) there might have been others probably not cuz like you said MOST of them died on reach

And the beauty about COD being the hooker is when I am done yelling and getting all mad at Battlefield for cheap ass moments, or Halo.
I play COD and basically going to gamble if I am either going to have a good time or a bad time.
It is my personal opinion, COD to me is a hooker, a gamble.
I am not suppose to love it, if I lose the gamble of having a good time and having my $65 worth, I am going to be pissed off.

MY PERSONAL OPINION.
Battlefield(1942,2,BC2,etc) is like your wife, you love it because she provides you with a fucking war game.
Halo is like your awesome girlfriend that your going to always remember.

I'm not trying to say that people should stop playing CoD, but I'd like to express my opinion on why I prefer Halo over CoD. For one, Halo focuses more on being a fun game while CoD is more realistic. As a result, Bungie focuses more on gameplay and storyline while Activision focuses mainly on graphics. And yes, let's just listen to the music, That's why MKTUROK117 posted this video for.

why don't we stop comparing Halo and CoD in the first place? They are different games, with really very little in common. Both have their merits, both have their faults. so what if you like one better, and another person prefers the other? Its not the end of the fucking world, it won't kill you, and there are certainly more productive things to fight over if you just want to be one of those people who cause conflict and make the world a little more awful. Play the game you enjoy and get over it.

CoD seems to be almost completely geared towards casual gamers. It is extremely easy to get good at and almost anyone can pick up a controller and play. The population casual gamers grows with every CoD game that is released. Halo, Battlefield, and Gears are less accessible than CoD , especially Gears and Battlefield, and therefore will always be less popular. All three of these are much better games than CoD will ever be.

Both games are good in their own way. I just don't feel too comfortable playing CoD as much. Besides, Halo is a game you can ALWAYS go back to. CoD is just a fad until it gets boring or until the next game comes out.

I have honestly played both--IMHO they are their own genre--even though they are both FPS they still have distinct differences. If you come here to say halo sucks you have a problem--just as if you go to a cod video to flame you're a retard.
Both games are good but if I had to pick I'd still pick halo...

@Kossrifle I agree, when I play COD it's completely different from Halo. I find COD requires more stealth since the Camo actually sorta hides you and you get killed generally easy. Meanwhile Halo (if not on SWAT or Snipers) is a game where you run in, take a lot of hits, blow things up and fuck shit up until you die.

It's ok to like COD better than halo, but the fact remains, COD has no depth, it's another carbon-coby military shooter. Halo has an incredible story, incredible music, incredible atmosphere, and incredible characters. COD has nice graphics, but that's about it. (in my opinion.)

I think this CoD vs Halo war is way too overrated. We all have opinions, I just wish we could respect them. I'm not telling you to love or even like CoD but I'm asking you not to direct it at all CoD fans. Some of us like Halo just as much and even more. ;)
