But everyone has his or her opinion.
@AGentertainment I can understand why you would think that, but I respectfully disagree.
Nintendo of America did say that fan support did play a role in their decision making process. Obviously there were other factors, such as the fact there seems to be a lot more people interested in buying these games and they were able to work out methods that reduced localization costs.
I believe if it weren't for Operation Rainfall, those options would never have been considered.
Well, now The Last Story has been announced for a North American release. Do I need to say "I told you so"?
Well......I F%$@ING CALLED IT!!! YES! Now, I am waiting for word on Pandora's Tower.
Now that I think about it, you said after Skyward Sword, that's it for the Wii. It really doesn't make sense to me at all. The WiiU is not even out yet. And even now, there are games being released (not many but still, it's not dead). I know you must be thinking I am just rubbing it in but...oh well. XD
man, i live in london and i own xenoblade and let me tell you while the game is AMAZING it realy isnt worth cryin about. hey, you still got monster hunter tri...
Since Operation Rainfall did succeed with Xenoblade, does that mean you will support it now?
I understand your point about the letter only being a paragraph. That was awkward. For what it is worth, Operation Rainfall did encourage us to write our unique letters, which a number of others did. Operation Rainfall did tell its followers to not make any Operation Rainfall related comments whenever Nintendo made posts regarding its charitable contributions which almost everyone listened to.
I had the unfortunate experience to be living in PAL region because in the past we got screwed over most of the time. FF and DQ games were perhaps the only games that ever got brought into PAL region.
This only happened after FF7 and DQ8 but only on the SONY PlayStation console back in the day.
Gamecube was lucky enough with just a few ones like Skies of Arcadia and Baten Kaitos, even Tales of Symphania was lucky to get into Europe and Australia but not many copies.
I got the same reaction with Namco Bandai and Tales Series that pisses me off. Many of these die hard fans want all these games to come here to America because they got "held back". I have never seen so much faggotry in my entire life. The fanbase is just as worse as the Sonic fanbase. With that aside, they just spam their comment box with Vesperia PS3, Graces f, Xillia (just came out recently), Innocence Vita, etc. I do remember the producer of the series say something (cont.)
@fl21id "Fans need to be more enthusiastic if they want to see more of these games to come out overseas." In other words, stop with the fanboy attitude and grow up. Spamming the comment box with fanboy chatter isn't going to work. What's even worse is that these people want these games to be advertised on TV. Look, the game series is not even as popular as Square Enix's titles here in America. Now Atlus' fans, they are more well reserved and well spoken than those Tales fans.
hey ag you might want to make another video of how people cant make up their minds like they say skyward sword is the same thing and when a game changes around a bit like epic yarn they get mad its stupid
The OR Facebook page is currently at 10,294 and growing daily. And that is not even counting everybody from the petition, Twitter, and here on Youtube (since not everyone in it is on the Facebook page).
There are Wii games to be announced in December to early 2012, I bet these three games will be included.
Hoo boy, I am so glad that I've finally found someone who respectfully disagrees with Operation Rainfall's methods. I do too, especially when they asked people to buy Final Fantasy. Fortunately they realized they cocked it up.
But it doesn't matter. Nintendo of America doesn't care. All Reggie and Nintendo of America have to do is hide behind Kirby and Zelda and they're off the hook.
i agree with neocasko if they dont want to send them to usa well using a modified software and play it wont be a bad idea it just to play it they dont want the money ok but the game is accesible even in "not natural ways" and theres a lot of great games apart these 3.
These games are finished, Xenoblade has even been localized for Europe, so why don't they just release them over there in the USA... I'm playing Xenoblade at the moment, like 45 hours in the game and no end in sight - it's so awesome, would love to get you guys to play it as well
However I agree that calling Nintendo, spamming their Facebook page etc. is a bit embarrassing
@AGentertainment Well, I am surprised you responded. I do know that NOA is considering getting them here if they do well in other places and that's exactly what's happening. They are doing well and people like them.
And dude, you basically stated in your vid to express your own opinion. I did just that. I am not bashing you either, I am bashing those who are less respectful to the group. Don't try to insult me.
@Neocasko I didn't insult you. That'd be nice if those games made it to the states, but it doesn't look like it'll happen. After Skyward Sword, that's it for Wii.
@AGentertainment Yeah, I agree. That it would be nice to see them here. But the WiiU is still a months away. And NOA did say they are considering getting at least two of games here if they get enough attention. Maybe next year? Or I could just pirate it if the Wii if they say that's it for the Wii and they still don't get the games here. I normally wouldn't do such a thing but hey, the aren't localizing it in that case so there is no harm done.
@jb4life77 I suppose, but the difference is that the Playstation 3 isn't region-locked and the Nintendo Wii is. It's harder to expect a large amount of sales from States side when it comes to importing on the Wii. Also, though Operation Rainfall may not doing everything right (Humans aren't perfect) it still remains that people are making their voices be heard.
@jb4life77 Operation Rainfall is a group of people with a love for excellent games. Yes, there are some people that take the "mission" a bit too seriously and can be a immature about it, but this is to a degree; the heads of Operation Rainfall ask for their followers to be courteous and understanding. Importing and hacking will not effectively support the company and developers we still care about. Also, though I do appreciate your enthusiasm to your opinion, I'm not appreciative to the spam.

@jb4life77 I simply believe that the States also has a right to great games, games that represent what an RPG truly should be. There's a reason why Xenoblade is critically acclaimed.
Let me make one thing perfectly clear. We know they're simply games. We don't sit around in basements and play the games on Dolphin. But the fact is, we enjoy the Wii. We hate to see these three games not get released here when A. There aren't any good games besides SS and Kirby B. Nintendo is abandoning the Wii C. It would let NoA know that there is a market for those games.
@pantera141000 Actually no. Operation Rainfall is the one worth it because these 3 games deserve to be released worldwide.
Operation Moonfall is not needed because it is likely we would get a remake of Majora's Mask anyways. It is kind of like wasting your time. The one for Mega-Man Legends 3 is worth more than it.
@pantera141000 BOTH are worth it. Don't be a shallow Zelda fanboy about it. I look forward to Moonfall and Rainfall since they both have great causes.
i agree with the letter failure... we got awsome games and 8 months-no-good-game line reaally sucks... we got alot of good games ... BUT operation rainfall is getting somewhere .. i mean we (wii-EU) got xenoblade and will get the last story !!!!! in eu.... sooo awsome .. well i think pandoras box will fail .. and i feel bad for america for not getting xenoblade... well i really think they should localise these games.... i mean alot of ppl want it !
I agree that Operation Rainfall is poorly executed, but that doesn't mean we don't have the right to say "Hey, we want these games for the U.S." It happened with Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, right? Maybe we should ask on how that campaign went right as opposed to just giving up.
i have to say that he is right i wasnt part of this becaus simple as i dont like final fantisy or thoes games i like kingdom hearts thats it and makes you all look like whining babies who will freak out like little girls if they didnt get every thing they wanted for chrismas i mean yes im a part of operation moonfall but thats becuas it worked for orciriana of time and that he specificly sade that they might do this if we give an uproar in emotion but it still makes us all look like little brats
Wow, someone's never played Xenogears of the Xenosaga series. If you did, you clearly wouldn't take this standpoint. The fans need this title, it's only right. It's not "just another game".
OMFG NINTENDO CANT DO SHIT BOUT IT say nintendo does agree to this what do you expect them to do beg the publishers to make the game for wii? THUMBS THIS UP & COPY & PASTE THIS TO EVERY OPRATION RAINFALL VIDEO
As much as I admire what Operation Rainfall is trying to accomplish, I do have to agree with AG to some extent. There is a proper way to do something like this, but a letter writing and calling campaign is not the way to do it. Buy games similar to these three games, pre-order the games if possible and show support in a way that does not harass the company.
@shuasoul If you owned one of those consoles, you'd know there are more than just shooters. There are a lot of shooters, but a lot of other stuff as well.
Their efforts won't work for one reason. When forming a localization effort, you need to look at the developers of the games, not the console designers. For Xenoblade go message Monolith Software, for Pandoras tower, that would be Ganbarion, and for The Last Story, you need to go see Mistwalker. Nintendo may be a publisher, but they did not create the games, and make minor sales off them. Go speak to the developers, and you might get somewhere. Its as simple as that.
I agree with u on this 1 AG sure O.R. has a good cause but how their doing it is childish. I'm happy that us gamers can ban together but honestly if u O.R. ppl have such a bad RPG itch then download Mario RPG, Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 1 2 and 3 off the Wii virtual console problem solved!
This might sound hypocritical but what we really need is an Ops to get Black Ops DLC on Wii because Trearch said they would give us DLC but they never did and HALF of the game is missing too!!
@AGentertainment Y'know i feel terrible for the way that sounded x-x, had a bad day, brought it on here like an idiot, but the way you made the title sound ticked me off a bit, so don't take it personally, we all have our opinions C:
@MetalHero727 Probably, if it gets released, it's due to european sales numbers (which I think look pretty good so far for Xenoblade, I know I got the controller pack :P on launchday), not due to operation rainfall. That's my thoughts anyway, 'cause if it WOULD be because of that, they'd get an operation rainfall on every game that doesn't initially get released, and every time it WOULD work, fans would be even more sure that it will next time. If I were Nintendo, I'd want to feel in control.
@MetalHero727 And actually, that's already happening with people wanting majora's mask on 3DS, which hasn't even been announced, let lone made, ANYWHERE. operation ''moonfall''. They're not some DJ you can request songs from.
Atleast there doing something then saying "oh there are other great games play those." This vid is stupid and ur reasoning is too. We bought the wii, It's not fair that there may be great games out there that we might never get to play. Listing other games doesn't help your argument at all of course we have not played all of them but has it occured to you that maybe we don't want to play those? maybe we'd rather play jrpg but oh wait nintendo.......
@TehNubGamer English gamers don't complain about games we miss out on. So stop complaining and get over it. You're crying over a few games. They're just games,
Of course, taking one dumb letter and "acting" as 9 years old calling NoA customer's service would make any group look like idiot. Instead of doing some Nintendo-bashing toward its fans, do like any good video games industry vlogger would do and explain why these games would be good for the Wii library. Otherwise, you're a troll.
@EliteMicroGamer Funny, I don't think that was said. I just displayed a whole bunch of games you could be playing instead of bitching to Nintendo about a couple of RPGs. You want RPGs? Buy a SNES or PS1/PS2.
@AGentertainment when did I ever bitch that we didn't have enough RPGs? and besides the wii has good games don't get me wrong but it only has like 10-15 of them, having 3 more really good RPGs would be great
Also don't trash AG for what he is saying. He isn't saying bringing these games over is a bad idea. He is just saying that he thinks that the approach Operation Rainfall is taking is not what he thinks will win Nintendo over. I know you guys that want Operation Rainfall to succeed are passionate about this so show that passion to Nintendo. Use your passion to write individualized letters with reasons for why you want this. Show them your hearts and minds and not your rage.
Actually, Xenoblade and Pandora's Tower are going to be released in Europe. Also, last time I heard, Wii is not region locked, so you can import it to America.
@ehgames1234 actually it is but you can get around it with hacking but even then PAL format games won't work on NTSC consoles without some more hacking and conversion
If all the people that want Rainfall to succeed want a good chance at it, then they should be calm, mature and professional about it. Nintendo is not your parent just because you whine to them doesn't mean that they will secede and give you what you want. If you really want to show Nintendo something, then each of you individually write letters to them about why you really want the games to come to the US. Copying and pasting an annoying letter over and over will not make them warm up to you
Also give Nintendo reasons why it would be a great business choice to bring them over. Give them good reasons that would benefit them and their customers. Put yourselves in their place. If you were the one who had to listen to all this shit, would you rather give the people spewing the same repetitive one paragraph complaint what they want or the people who give you good reasons why bringing these games over would benefit them and make fans happy?
i have a 3ds and to u the truth dere noting a want in it. i want Senran Kagura: Shoujotachi no Shinei it looks great. but 3ds can't play japanese game. why i have a 3ds? i want mml3 and we all know what happen ..... the fans save it
I used to think that RainFall was a good idea (even if I don't care much about those games.) but now seeing as just about 90% of RainFalls supporters are immature, whining, bitch ass spamer. I hate RainFall now. You guys do nothing but spam nintendos facebook page, Whine and whine and whine and bitch. Some of you are worse than Microsoft/Sony fanboy's -.-
Oh, you just answered your own question why Operation Rainfall exists with your statement at 5:15.
You might want to script yourself with these, cause Wii owners are asking for variety, which is what they are not getting by these games not being localized.
Do some better research, and construct a much better argument.
I'm a proud member of Operation Rainfall, but surprisingly, I don't hate this video. He does make some pretty valid points and I think members of the movement should take heed of them. Phase Two of Rainfall better be thought out differently.
An interesting video, and one that expressed differing views in a (more or less) courteous way. Out of curiosity, if you were trying to get at least Last Story here, what would you do differently?
Honestly, I wouldn't really have been that pissed at Nintendo had the games simply just stayed in Japan, but Europe is getting them all and Australia is getting Xenoblade as well. The translation work is already done or is being done, and every region besides North America is getting these games,so what's the problem with releasing it here. Your vid makes some good points but you kinda left the part out that the games are already in English or being translated into English.
also, i gotta say, black ops ain't a quality title, i don't disagree with everything else you said (especially since its a Wii version of multi platform title, which tends to be the inferior version)
@SnipingIsFun Are you telling me you have played, beaten, and 100% completed every worthwhile Wii game that has been released since it's launch and have nothing to play until Skyward Sword? That argument is funny because I highly doubt it.
@AGentertainment No I haven't but that really isn't the point. I can still go back and play them but I still have to look forward to games throughout the rest of the Wii's lifetime. And there are only like 4/5 or so I have to look forward to throughout the rest of 2011 and into 2012. If these games come here plus Earthseeker, then that would at least add to it.
I am just saying that not all of the games coming out are for everybody. These games would at least be for RPG fans. Just saying.
@LiveLyricsX I am not bored of the ones I have, I just want to buy some more and these 3 look really good and really fun. Why not bring them here? There are no good reasons.
Omg I would never bitch to a gaming company because they didn't cater to all of my game requests. A spoiled rotten brat would do that. Besides japan games usually take months or years to reach the us. If those games sold good nintendo would do the smart thing and release it here. There are many good RPGs out anyway as that is what nin is good at. But whining is for spoiled babies.
i own a ps3 had a wii, no games came out AT FIRST that were worth getting IN MY MIND, so i switched and yea, no complaints.. those whiners need to go take a nap :D
So, we shouldn't protest or request games because it'll make other console fanboys look at us badly? Also, yeah those games came out, but none of them appeal to the type of gamers these three would appeal to. Also, enough people complain and the company has to give a non-BS response or risk a huge amount of negative press. The fact is, if whining works, I'm going to do it, because I'm not satisfied. Though I agree there are wording issues on the letter, that's not the only letter, just a sample.
Ok, you make some good points. However, you offered no suggestions. The idea of bombarding Facebook, Twitter, and even Youtube does give the effect of showing gamer enthusiasm (outrage, and pathetic begging in some cases). It's not a matter of whether we spam, it's a matter of the dialogue approach. The more avenues are hit, the more difficult it is to ignore the operation. As you pointed out, the preorders are the most useful tool. There are issues in the writing campaign as well...cont.
@Aetheras cont...that you point out. However you offer no fixes or suggestions to take to a positive direction where you think it may work. Personally I think a more simplified letter with room and suggestions for personal statements would work better. Of course it works best if letters are kept congenial, and the focus is to show one wants to buy the game, and only mentions the current drought. We don't know how NoA is reacting internally, but your idea and point does more damage than help.
@Aetheras You make a good point, but offering suggestions would only make me seem like a part of it, or a know-it-all. I don't know what the best suggestion would be. I would probably send a professional letter and ask, but that's about it, but if I made suggestions in this video, it would have me come across as more of a know-it-all than someone that has an opinion. Here, I say I thought it was a good idea, it looks like it's not being done well, will probably fail, but who knows...
@AGentertainment the girl is not talented but at least she has some brains i saw those views and she keeps up the vids she will be a partner very soon lol
I got an email from Club Nintendo, and it mentions Xenoblade making it's first appearance on the Wii, but just in case i'm wrong about the region, heres the original article (put the following code after tiny url dot coms forward slash: 6kpukf5)
The Nintendo wii is pretty dry for exclusive titles i mean only 4?that's not enough Nintendo seems to have forgotten working on there console it's pretty much dead for line up.
Okay, the Wii has had some very good games released in the past 8 months. But are you gonna be playing those games until the WiiU comes out? no. A lot of them are just average games(ie: Conduit 2, Lost in Shadow, and Mario Sports Mix) or multiplat(ie: De Blob 2, Black Ops(which is better on the PS3, 360, and PC), and My Sims 3). The only real quality titles I see on that list is Goldeneye007, Sonic Colors, Epic Micky, and Kirby's Epic Yarn.
okay, look, that is one of the reasons why nintendo fans look like dumbasses, but half the reason Xbox 360 and PS3 fans laugh at us is because the graphics aren't good enough. at least we actually have good games, besides just war games or sports games, we have those too! not like we actually play them. Nintendo, can you focus on the Wii for a little while longer?
Nintendo isn't the only one laughing, but I was laughing my head off that people actually wanted these games, sorry people, but if you ask to much from nintendo, they will not do it. Its like spending to much time and energy yelling at snow that you dont try climbing out. just saying
I really hate pricks like this who sit back and do nothing and when someone else trys all they do is talk shit! I know the plan is not perfect but at least its a good attempt and shows that most Nintendo fans are not drons that are willing to take shit from NOA!
@joydreamer "If Europe, then why not US?" Because Nintendo of Europe (NOE) & Nintendo of America (NOA) are 2 seperate branches run by 2 seperate groups of people. The ones running NOE are cool, but the ones running NOA are complete utter douchebags. There's no excuse for them to not release those games. If they don't care for the Wii anymore, then we need to tell the developers of those games to work a deal with NOA to make Wii U releases for those 3 games.
Its unfair to say Operation Rainfall is the reason why Xbox 360 and Ps3 owners are making fun of Nintendo fans, especially when Xbox 360 and PS3 fans have similar operations.
Xbox 360 owners had one for Rare's Goldeneye 007, one of the best First Person Shooters of all-time.PS3 owners has one operation for Kingdom Hearts 3.The reason why people make fun of Nintendo owners and other console owners is that there will always be haters.
I like all of your other videos I disagree with this one.
So, what you're saying is that despite the terrible year so far, and the very likely dramatic wait for the WiiU next year, you expect us to be satisfied, and then criticize us because we aren't? That's entirely unreasonable, and whats more, what makes you look bad is the attitudes of Sony and Microsoft fans, not us. Meanwhile we've tried to be constructive and use our collective bargaining power to convince NOA to take our money. If that's wrong, I don't want to be right.
All the spamming, mail, and calling is legit imo. It's not to look like fools, its just to let nintendo know that people are very upset over the release of these 3 games...and sure its just 3 games but there is seriously nothing left for the wii this year...and even with the console collectind dust aside, xenoblade and the last story look awesome and really good! and i want to play them!
the only reason nintendo is focused on the 3ds and wii u is cause everyone wanted quality games for the wii and nintendo is finally doing it through the wii u and people r being aholes about 3 games ok......
@Animefan4ever5 The thing is that the Wii is the current system on the market because obviously I can't go to the store and buy a Wii U. People more quality games on the Wii to last the rest of the time.
We seriously have like 18 months to wait and that will be bad if there is nothing to play on the Wii along the way.
Honestly I may not be as much of a Nintendo Fan as I used to be, but I hope that the Wii get's these games in the case that it gets Nintendo A LOT more money. However, I do indeed agree with AG on this. The idea of it may be for the right reasons but, most of the tactics for Rainfall should be thrown in the garbage.
If Nintendo fans would of treated the Wii like the rest of the gamers did you all wouldn't have this problem. Wii is at best a side console that compliments a real gaming console with great support (PS3, 360 or PC). So you all should of got one of those three and your Wii could of been the side system. But no, you all pretended Wii is more than what it is and now the entire fanbase looks like desperate slobs for no reason at all.
You are a uneducated douche bag you don't belong anywhere near the gaming community. This movement is not just for these 3 games, majority of the people want Nintendo of America to get their heads out of their asses bring these games and all games like it to America. The same thing happened with the mother series(in the 90's). But there is other movements that 360 and ps3 owners are trying to pass such as the mortal kombat banning in Australia, they want to be able to buy the game.
@AGentertainment no I am calling you a uneducated douche bag. because you are. You have no idea what these people are actually doing, so you make up a story to attempt to insult them because it effects you in a negative way if they get games they want or they want others to have. And really its not just all about these 3 games you douche bag.
Not to be rude, but I understand that you have started you own video game show on the internet. I understand that you want to get alow of veiws to make money/get attention. I also understand that controversial opinons get attention, so that you can make money. But you are no Jim Sterling. Jim brings up actual vaild and insightful comments about gamming. You don't. Do you think that posters taped to a wall gives you authority? cause they don't.
You're right, it isn't planned out well. Like you said it would be nice for these games to come out here. I completely agree with you. And people should play a variety of games (even on different consoles) or take a damn break... I don't want another "mother" incident but whatever, I'm not gonna cry about it.
Of all the recent Wii releases you showed, only two were actually published by Nintendo, and just because you think a game is good doesn't mean other people will. Only one of the games you showed wasn't either a sequel or based on a licensed property, and a lot of people are more interested in a new experience than a slightly improved version of one they had a few years ago. I personally don't care about any of the games Operation Rainfall is fighting for, but I definitely support the cause.
yah xenoblade and the last story are here now so haha

Operation Rainfall + 2 out of the 3 games releasing
You gotta put two and two together.

There are Wii games to be announced in December to early 2012, I bet these three games will be included.

One of the good reasons to keep the Wii as a secondary console.
Don't like what is going on there you can enjoy what the other system has.

@Sc0tt8588 Very well said. Same goes with consoles vs. the PC.
Neocasko 4 months ago
Hoo boy, I am so glad that I've finally found someone who respectfully disagrees with Operation Rainfall's methods. I do too, especially when they asked people to buy Final Fantasy. Fortunately they realized they cocked it up.
But it doesn't matter. Nintendo of America doesn't care. All Reggie and Nintendo of America have to do is hide behind Kirby and Zelda and they're off the hook.

i agree with neocasko if they dont want to send them to usa well using a modified software and play it wont be a bad idea it just to play it they dont want the money ok but the game is accesible even in "not natural ways" and theres a lot of great games apart these 3.
kevinadept 4 months ago
These games are finished, Xenoblade has even been localized for Europe, so why don't they just release them over there in the USA... I'm playing Xenoblade at the moment, like 45 hours in the game and no end in sight - it's so awesome, would love to get you guys to play it as well
However I agree that calling Nintendo, spamming their Facebook page etc. is a bit embarrassing

I didn't think so...
AGentertainment 5 months ago
@AGentertainment Well, I am surprised you responded. I do know that NOA is considering getting them here if they do well in other places and that's exactly what's happening. They are doing well and people like them.
And dude, you basically stated in your vid to express your own opinion. I did just that. I am not bashing you either, I am bashing those who are less respectful to the group. Don't try to insult me.
Neocasko 5 months ago
@Neocasko I didn't insult you. That'd be nice if those games made it to the states, but it doesn't look like it'll happen. After Skyward Sword, that's it for Wii.
AGentertainment 5 months ago
@AGentertainment Yeah, I agree. That it would be nice to see them here. But the WiiU is still a months away. And NOA did say they are considering getting at least two of games here if they get enough attention. Maybe next year? Or I could just pirate it if the Wii if they say that's it for the Wii and they still don't get the games here. I normally wouldn't do such a thing but hey, the aren't localizing it in that case so there is no harm done.
Neocasko 5 months ago
@jb4life77 I suppose, but the difference is that the Playstation 3 isn't region-locked and the Nintendo Wii is. It's harder to expect a large amount of sales from States side when it comes to importing on the Wii. Also, though Operation Rainfall may not doing everything right (Humans aren't perfect) it still remains that people are making their voices be heard.
FireEmblemForevah 5 months ago
@jb4life77 Operation Rainfall is a group of people with a love for excellent games. Yes, there are some people that take the "mission" a bit too seriously and can be a immature about it, but this is to a degree; the heads of Operation Rainfall ask for their followers to be courteous and understanding. Importing and hacking will not effectively support the company and developers we still care about. Also, though I do appreciate your enthusiasm to your opinion, I'm not appreciative to the spam.

It would let NoA know that there is a market for those games.

screw operation rainfall operation moonfall is the 1 worth it :)
pantera141000 6 months ago
@pantera141000 Actually no. Operation Rainfall is the one worth it because these 3 games deserve to be released worldwide.
Operation Moonfall is not needed because it is likely we would get a remake of Majora's Mask anyways. It is kind of like wasting your time. The one for Mega-Man Legends 3 is worth more than it.
SnipingIsFun 6 months ago
@pantera141000 BOTH are worth it. Don't be a shallow Zelda fanboy about it. I look forward to Moonfall and Rainfall since they both have great causes.

Janezk7 6 months ago
I agree that Operation Rainfall is poorly executed, but that doesn't mean we don't have the right to say "Hey, we want these games for the U.S." It happened with Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, right? Maybe we should ask on how that campaign went right as opposed to just giving up.

wwerulzs64 6 months ago
As much as I admire what Operation Rainfall is trying to accomplish, I do have to agree with AG to some extent. There is a proper way to do something like this, but a letter writing and calling campaign is not the way to do it. Buy games similar to these three games, pre-order the games if possible and show support in a way that does not harass the company.

Ninjazap1 6 months ago

MetalHero727 6 months ago
@MetalHero727 Probably, if it gets released, it's due to european sales numbers (which I think look pretty good so far for Xenoblade, I know I got the controller pack :P on launchday), not due to operation rainfall. That's my thoughts anyway, 'cause if it WOULD be because of that, they'd get an operation rainfall on every game that doesn't initially get released, and every time it WOULD work, fans would be even more sure that it will next time. If I were Nintendo, I'd want to feel in control.

JSWUDNN 6 months ago
Actually, Xenoblade and Pandora's Tower are going to be released in Europe. Also, last time I heard, Wii is not region locked, so you can import it to America.
ehgames1234 6 months ago
@ehgames1234 actually it is but you can get around it with hacking but even then PAL format games won't work on NTSC consoles without some more hacking and conversion
JSWUDNN 6 months ago
If all the people that want Rainfall to succeed want a good chance at it, then they should be calm, mature and professional about it. Nintendo is not your parent just because you whine to them doesn't mean that they will secede and give you what you want. If you really want to show Nintendo something, then each of you individually write letters to them about why you really want the games to come to the US. Copying and pasting an annoying letter over and over will not make them warm up to you
JSWUDNN 6 months ago
Also give Nintendo reasons why it would be a great business choice to bring them over. Give them good reasons that would benefit them and their customers. Put yourselves in their place. If you were the one who had to listen to all this shit, would you rather give the people spewing the same repetitive one paragraph complaint what they want or the people who give you good reasons why bringing these games over would benefit them and make fans happy?

Oh, you just answered your own question why Operation Rainfall exists with your statement at 5:15.
You might want to script yourself with these, cause Wii owners are asking for variety, which is what they are not getting by these games not being localized.
Do some better research, and construct a much better argument.

Honestly, I wouldn't really have been that pissed at Nintendo had the games simply just stayed in Japan, but Europe is getting them all and Australia is getting Xenoblade as well. Your vid makes some good points but you kinda left the part out that the games are already in English or being translated into English.

Whaarm 7 months ago
So, we shouldn't protest or request games because it'll make other console fanboys look at us badly? Also, yeah those games came out, but none of them appeal to the type of gamers these three would appeal to. Also, enough people complain and the company has to give a non-BS response or risk a huge amount of negative press. The fact is, if whining works, I'm going to do it, because I'm not satisfied. Though I agree there are wording issues on the letter, that's not the only letter, just a sample.
montyblanc512 7 months ago
Ok, you make some good points. However, you offered no suggestions. The idea of bombarding Facebook, Twitter, and even Youtube does give the effect of showing gamer enthusiasm (outrage, and pathetic begging in some cases). It's not a matter of whether we spam, it's a matter of the dialogue approach. The more avenues are hit, the more difficult it is to ignore the operation. As you pointed out, the preorders are the most useful tool. There are issues in the writing campaign as well...cont.
Aetheras 7 months ago
@Aetheras cont...that you point out. However you offer no fixes or suggestions to take to a positive direction where you think it may work. Personally I think a more simplified letter with room and suggestions for personal statements would work better. Of course it works best if letters are kept congenial, and the focus is to show one wants to buy the game, and only mentions the current drought. We don't know how NoA is reacting internally, but your idea and point does more damage than help.
Aetheras 7 months ago
@Aetheras You make a good point, but offering suggestions would only make me seem like a part of it, or a know-it-all. I don't know what the best suggestion would be. I would probably send a professional letter and ask, but that's about it, but if I made suggestions in this video, it would have me come across as more of a know-it-all than someone that has an opinion. Here, I say I thought it was a good idea, it looks like it's not being done well, will probably fail, but who knows...

THEKING1300 8 months ago
okay, look, that is one of the reasons why nintendo fans look like dumbasses, but half the reason Xbox 360 and PS3 fans laugh at us is because the graphics aren't good enough. at least we actually have good games, besides just war games or sports games, we have those too! not like we actually play them. Nintendo, can you focus on the Wii for a little while longer?

@joydreamer "If Europe, then why not US?" Because Nintendo of Europe (NOE) & Nintendo of America (NOA) are 2 seperate branches run by 2 seperate groups of people. The ones running NOE are cool, but the ones running NOA are complete utter douchebags. There's no excuse for them to not release those games. If they don't care for the Wii anymore, then we need to tell the developers of those games to work a deal with NOA to make Wii U releases for those 3 games.
animebryan 8 months ago

@Bob0p Will you be calling Nintendo "uneducated douchebags" when you send your letter to them? Or will you be saying that over the phone?
AGentertainment 8 months ago

I say good day gentleman!

@retrofraction Good for Jim. Never heard of him. This is a video game vlog.
