Not that this isn't good, but we play this in band during the half-time show, and our version is A LOT better. Not by talent, but our different version is better. Ours is longer, and is more complex. Thus one is still awesome, ours is just better. No offense.

@F13JasonVoorhees although you guys took this song and are now playing it for half time, you fail to realize that this is the ORIGINAL theme. of course the original isn't so complex, of course it's not very long (it was the begining of a tv show where time slots matter) so to say that yours is "A LOT better" is just garbage. your guys version is just an interperatation or an improvised form to lengthen it and give it more depth. i'm sure yours can sound cooler, but in the end it's not better.

Besides, just because it comes before a show, doesn't mean it can't be complex. (EX: Friends, MacGyver, That 70s Show, Batman...ok not Batman) Anyway, I don't really care either way, why else would it be on my iPod! Oh, and original or not, Get Smart is the least favorite theme we play at half time....

@F13JasonVoorhees dude you listed modern tv sitcoms. think of when this show came out. tv theme songs werent super elaborate. you said so yourself when you took batman out of your own list of themes because it came out in the same era. and you need to quit saying "no offense" because nothing you're saying is offensive, it just makes you sound like you're weak and trying not to get picked on. so again, you can't compare the original themes to remakes the way you have

@anglicky69 That's called sarcasm there Jimmy. Besides, A: I mentioned nothing of "remakes", B: There are plenty of shows from the 60s with more complex/longer themes. Like: The Twilight Zone, Mission Impossibles, Bewitched, Bonanza, Avengers, Hogans Heroes, Gunsmoke, Gilligan's Island, Green Acres, The Addams Family, and The Andy Griffith Show. Do you need me to name any more? Besides, forgetting about the themes, some of the shows I mentioned are better than Get Smart anyway. Quit whining.
