  • UHM HOW MUCH YOU IDIOT OMG HOW STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JUST ADD IN FLOUR SALT SUGAR HEY WHATS THE FUCKING AMOUTNT OMG STUPID JUST WASTED ABOUT 3 MINUTES OF MY LIFE

  • i apolligize i didnt relyse you had a recipe on your actual website.

  • it would help if you would say the measurements with the directions.

  • CAN THE CRUST BE USED FOR OTHER TYPES O PIES? I.E. APPLE. CHERRY. LEMON MERINGUE?

  • OMG!! I made this peach cobbler tonight. I couldn't believe that I made it. Wow! This was so simple and delicious. Thanks Diva!

  • WOW looks delish!!!!!!

  • Come on, diva. I love your recipes, but in this video, you made it seem like you think only women cook. I'm a 37 year old male and have been cooking and baking since I was 12. Many of the top rated chefs in the world are male. You're forgiven, because you are such a great cook. My order in watching your videos is as follows:

    1. Add to recipe playlist.

    2. Play video.

Just remember that there are plenty of us male cooks out there and I'm sure we make up a good percentage of your subscribers.

  • Thank you for making this simple for me. I love peach cobbler and never learned to make it. Now I know :-)

  • Will make this for Sunday dinner dessert so excited!

  • what are the measurements?

  • What are the measurements?

  • @darlingche Hi, click the link

  • Omg just made this peach pie love the crust my family enjoyed it i did so so good.

  • good job girl

  • We need to bring home economics back into the schools!

  • @IrisMG I know, and she should be the teacher

  • @mccain95 Hello, and thank you for your reply. Ms. Monique surely can't teach every public school. Maybe we all need to be the change we want to see, and teach our sons and daughters basic cooking skills. There's an entire generation of fast-food connaiseurs who don't even know the difference between tsp and Tbsp., and who didn't have parents or grandparents who could teach them. I enjoyed my home-ec classes. We had boys AND girls, and we made some good stuff!

  • I made this and I like the crust but the only peaches I could get had no sugar added. The pie was okay but it needed more sugar and spice.

  • now what would you do if you wanted more spice? i made this but it felt like it was missing something.

  • @hollagurl154 hmmm...you can def. increase the spices and sugar. Before you pour it into the pie crust give it a taste and make sure it's sweetened and spiced to your liking. Be careful not to add too much sugar and spice though, the cobbler will taste much sweeter when it's cooled off.

  • @hollagurl154 Hey. Outside of the peaches I think the cinnamon and nutmeg are key. Add to taste and you should be all set, but be careful with the sugar.

  • @hollagurl154 Just want to say I make mine very similar, however; for more flavoring you can add vanilla flavor, cinnamon and a hint of nutmeg. I promise that would give you the taste you're looking for.

  • Do you have a recipe for lemon meringue pie?

  • OMG easy

  • Thx this helped a lot simple & waxy ^__^ now pecan pie LOL

  • Hey!!! We call it peach cobbler here in cali to -.- (at least in LA)

  • Great way to make it n easy girl love it

  • this is great. thanks for the vid. will get the recipes on your blog. :) my hubby will love this!

  • lol i like your narration, very funny

  • hi...love your cooking! i'm a southern cook, raised on southern foods. i've made this several times and a tip to making it really homemade but quik and convenient is to add fresh peaches, cooking half and then add to canned peaches. adds more concentrated peachy flavor. great job!

  • My peach pie came out perfect all I added to make the crust was a bowl of flour 1 cube of butter salt and sugar but a little moré sugar and the cold water and cooked the peaches with cinnamon powder 1 spoon of puré vanilla extract and sugar till it thickend it came out deliciouseverybody loved it

  • I liked your recipe becuz it's like a pie. You should've said the amount of flour (I use a differeent crust) but I can easily find that out.

  • what can you use instead of crisco? more butter? margerine??

  • Firstly, I'm not a "diva" lol but I gave this recipe a try...LOL --- it wasn't as sweet as I'd prefer, but I might try it again with more sugar and might mix that half White Sugar and half Brown Sugar. Crust was on point though!

  • next time use fresh peaches but it still looks good though

  • Canned peaches.....really....?

  • God loves you my sister. may he continue to bless every thing you touch!

  • dang! i wish I could cook like you. im learning though lol! good job girl

  • Looks very very good...Your grandmother got it going! Thanks!

  • This looks so good!!! I have been craving Peach Cobbler. TFS :0)

  • your so cute ":)

  • if you use real peaches how many do you use?

  • Can you use butter instead of butter flavored Crisco? My highschool teacher taught me Crisco is really bad for health

  • Lawdy I made this and it was banging!!!!!!!!!!! I sub sugar for splenda and it was still perfect! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  • Looks great! Very nice.

  • Question:

What is peach cobbler? Cuz I saw different ones like peach pie ( this one) and some which have peaches and drop dough, which is the right one??

  • @karenbee1996 Yeah, actually the one with the drop dough is true cobbler because the surface has a "cobbled" appearance when it's cooked. In the south, a peach pie is often referred to as peach cobbler.

  • @divascancook thank you!

  • @karenbee1996

Cobbler looks more like either a flat loaf of bread or like an apple crisp in a casserole dish . shallow inch to inch and a half tall. Some make it look like struddles.

and her toppimg is pronounced lat tis.or crossover.

  • I made this crust to a strawberry cobbler, it was soooooo good, thanks so much for the recipe, my whole fam loves it!! keep on doing what ya doing!!!

  • Yummy thanks for sharing

  • Will you marry me?

  • Yummy Looks so Good!! I am craving this now!! I am going to make this for me & my husband one day!! Thanks for the video & recipe!!

  • love your voice!!Lol!!

  • And its Lattice

    XXXXXXXX

    XXXXXXXX

    ...like Ms. Stacy Lattisaw

  • ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRnT ... canned peaches are not FROM SCRATCH!

    Good recipe though.

  • @DoshUnScripted Anytime you make your own dough for peach cobbler.... it's from Scratch..lol. This is how my mother makes it by using canned peaches. You also have to keep in mind this is a soulfood desert, not a Mary poppins peach pie. Peach cobbler is meant to be rustic and economical.

  • @81Skippy

Well, If you make it, canned or otherwise and I'm invited, I will be sure to eat it..... Love peach cobbler.

I just thought SCRATCH meant you buy, wash, peel and cut the peaches and use the pits in a decorative motif (optional).

  • @DoshUnScripted Naw, not in this case. As far as I know peach cobbler is all about the buttery thick crust and decadent sweet spiced sauce.

The only thing that have against this demo is that she didn't use any thickening agent for the peaches while it was cooking and not enough spices.

  • @81Skippy

You could use a touch o flour and possibly corn starch.

I hate runny cobbler myself, so I feel you there.

Do you know what happends if you use too much butter in your crust?

  • @DoshUnScripted Yea, my mother use flour as well. But, I use (embrace yourself) vanilla pudding cooking powder, just a tbsp spoon. That just my little twist.

    Naw. what would happen?

  • @81Skippy

I dont know, I was asking you (about the too much butter).

OGM, I think I had a flash back to my childhood when kids would be confronted with some vegetables and SHREEK when I read Vanilla Pudding in peach cobbler... OOOOMMMMGGGG... really?

I dont know if I have the guts to try that.

Half of my mind is brimming with curiosity but the other half of my mind says WTF, are you CRAZY?

  • @DoshUnScripted lol...Oh! well....I'll pass to you the wise words that my French pastry instructor bestowed to me...."There is no such thing of Too much butter'....lol.

Yea! you should try it. Trust me, you won't end up with peach pudding. Just make sure you use cook and serve and not instant.

  • @81Skippy

Well the French lied to you skippy.

This is what happens when you add to much butter.

First of all, your pastry can all a part much easier because the butter pieces cannot get smaller because there is less flour for them to integrate with. Second, the battle or the flour is between the flour and the water. Too much of either can ruin your crust.

The main culprit with too much butter is the butter cooks at much faster rate and toughens the dough.

    Like a SCAB.

    Fakes an ugly cobbler.

  • @DoshUnScripted My crust is usually on point. So I honestly don't know what will happen if too much butter is used in a crust. I always use 2cups of flour and 2 sticks of butter OR 1 stick of butter and a 1/2 cup of butter flavored shortening.

  • Girl you are retarded! LOL. He may propose after you make this recipe. ha! You are crazy!

  • It looks soooo good ! :D But can you use fresh Peaches ?

  • I think this lass is related to Paula Dean, look at all the butter.

  • how much flour how much ingredience. And I ctually thought you would do good

  • woww i'm gonna try it x)

  • I would love to see u make a strawberry cheese cake mmmmm yummy!

  • This is the very best cobbler I have ever made, thanks. I make this often enough.

  • gosh, u make me wanna cook!

where's the red velver cake and banana pudding?

  • Waw! You are amazing!! I wish i can cook like you :(:(

  • great demo

  • i wish u were a little more specific about the "type of spice ur using, the amount of flour, sugar and how long the peaches have to cook...uggh...ur recipe is a little too simple! but cute video.

  • @luvleeballa22 The complete recipe (as well as all my video recipes) can be found on my blog. You'll also find an alternative style cobbler crust there, in case you prefer a biscuit style cobbler

  • This is more like a peach "pie" to me than a "cobbler" but either way it looks delicious! I plan to make a pot of Southern Green Beans, your homemade mac & chz, yeast rolls & this recipe for tomorrow's dinner. =) Thanx 4 posting & sharing ur recipes with us.

  • Just made these yesterday and let me tell you im glad i was smart and made two!!!!! they were delicious, i keep finding my self saying "oh god" "oh god" thanks soo much for this recipe its exactly what i was looking for!

  • You said you didn't know if you were pronouncing lattice correctly... the only word I could think of off the top of my head that lattice rhymes with, so you know you're saying it right, is Gladys(Knight), but instead of the d sound it would be the t sound. This video was has been posted almost a year ago so someone may have already told you how to pronounce it. But anyway I love your videos... you do an awesome job... very funny and you have a wonderful personality!!!! Keep up the good work!!!!

  • Have you tried using ice cold 1/2 and 1/2 instead of water in your pie crusts?? I love the book "Sweety Pies" by a woman in Michigan. (best pie book I have ever read as it has good DIVA advice and family stories as well ~ fun reading!) She advises using 1/2 and 1/2 instead of water and ohmygoodness does it make pie crusts even more excellent. YUM! Oh, and I totally agree with you on the butter-flavored Crisco.

  • @indigolady52 really when i make this ill use 1/2 and 1/2 thanx and thanx diva for this video

  • Damn this lady can cook. I have seen other food that she has made and it looks absolutely beautiful O.O She sounds so young tho ^.^ I have been wanting to learn how to make a great peach cobber for ages! • This info might be on your blog, but I can't access that at work. If I wanted to use fresh peaches, do you know how many I would need. And do you know the best place to buy a deep dish for baking...I do don't do much baking other than homemade cakes and cookies. Thnx.

  • This looks so good! I went out yesterday and bought everything but nutmeg =( Do you think i can use allspice instead?? Thank you!

  • @HOOSIE6 I wouldn't even worry about the nutmeg if you don't have it. I've skipped it before and it came out fine. I personally wouldn't use allspice because I don't like the way it taste with peaches.

  • O ok, thank you so much!!!

  • @divascancook are those canned peaches?

  • @divascancook dam ma r u married i ben watchin ur vids 4 a min. n dis is my fave i luv it... dam i ned a girl lik u kno dat!!

  • One more thing...salted or unsalted butter??? I never know which to use.

    ~Tink
