Spinning on a top whorl spindle

Great video. I have a couple of questions. I bought a kit, which comes with fiber and the spindle. The fiber is "commercially prepared." do I still pull the fibers apart? Also, my instructions say to use the leader it comes with, but that is very short. Should I just disregard the leader?

hi, your explanation is great!Its clear and very understandable! But the video needs to be made with more light so people can see what you are doing, especially with your hands, and the roving. Please make another one as this would really help newbie spindlers.
