glad i dont buy single player games no more... nerfing a SUPER form to the point where it just sucks down rings for invincibility and no giving the jump and speed... also disappointed that they actually FINALLY made super sonic available for modern sonic in regular game play instead of just the end BUT he wastes more rings just by boosting... -_- these new game developers are nothing compared to the ones of the age of 8-16 bit makers

The one good thing about super Sonic in this game: He doesn't have his own music. I hated that in Sonic 3. Some awesome fucking zone songs, drowned out by the invincibility music. That music was annoying for 10 seconds, let alone 2 minutes.

I don't even have this game yet and I can already agree with Super Sonic being a disappointment - firstly, the rings deplete faster, it used to be one a second in all other games, now it's more like 1.5 a second, and I can see it's really difficult to keep the super form for any length of time. Secondly, he seems really slow. Then there's the fact that he doesn't even have his own music. I think people said he's overpwered just because they've gotten so good at the games with him over the years.

@nbaytony No no no..... Beat the game one time and, u can go back to any level with the Super Sonic skill equipped. During the level, collect 50 rings press the button shown next to the icon of the Chaos Emeralds and BOOM!!!!!!! Super Sonic ( modern or classic ) Hope this helps.

When you run off of a slope as [Classic] Super Sonic, he doesn't do is "midair running" thing. He goes into his "Huzzah" pose usually achieved through uncurling.

@CrazyFoo501 I used super sonic and I think they are the same thing. It doesnt jump higher, it doesnt run faster, it doesnt do shit. It cant be damaged for some seconds, thats all. BS. Classic Super Sonic is worthless. Modern SS is somewhat better, but I rather use skills than shitty Super Sonics that drains 2 rings per second and are not that better than normal forms.

seriously thats all it is now. an activate at will invincibility that costs you all your rings, and lasts for about 50 seconds if you got lotsa rings and are lucky enough to keep getting them.

@whoamicrap well to be fair I meant it in context, where they were doing it in 3d but couldn't get it to be as enjoyable as the predecessors. Crisis City from the StH (06) is probably the best example of that notoriety. The modern levels of Generations were well done and fun for the most part, and an example of how 3d done right can pay off. That said, 2d platforming is NOT dead, as much as devs would lead us to believe. There's no reason they can't do both well. Potential's ALWAYS been there.

crisis city was a level i thought was bad choice but it turns out to be one of my favourites i like the feel of it. speedhighway is favourite of mine. but the best level in intire game is seaside hill act 2.

Idk why, but classic Super Sonic is slow in a way, and as for modern Super Sonic, he goes so fast that he literally, and I mean literally flies through the stage, but as you use the boost, your rings drop so damn fast, the game overall is kinda short though
