Music industry executives claim that piracy is costing the industry millions of dollars over the years but I think the real reason is because they never make songs like this available on iTunes. The view count on this video is almost 57,000. That FIFTY SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS they could have made off this song. It obviously struck a chord with a lot of Prince fans. The recording industry is losing money not because of piracy but STUPIDITY.

The music industry has been suffering from financial hard time due to, in their eyes, musical piracy. Personally, I think it has to do with their own stupidity. Take this song here. When I first saw Purple Rain in 1984, I loved this version of "Computer Blue". It was haunting. Apparently, a lot of other people liked it too. But they never released a high quality version to the public.

Maybe they like going broke.

I've played the piano since I was four and I listen to classical such as Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, etc. And I appreicate it from a melody and musical point of view. But I'm also a big prince fan and love it. His songs to me, have great lyrics, but from playing the piano I look deeper than just dancing and a cool ryhme every once and a while. For most people this is all that seems to matter. Not only are his lyrics great, but so are the musical elements.

this is my favorite P song. There are several versions of this tune. You got to check out the original 11+ min version. Very powerful, emotional rollercoaster, pain, love, desire, denial, salvation, reflection. Almost a mini rock opera. I love the riff, the bridges, the SOLO everything is just amazing and timeless about this great piece of music.

If I post the original demo, Prince will take it down. I had to go through an A&R of his in St. Paul just to get this collection of demos ranging from 1980-2009. Its amazing. I really wanna share it but chances are, itll be taken down. IT is pretty cool to hear prince in the background give his input during recording sessions like he says, "LISA!!!!" haha.

@quilafizz1 its a hella rare demo. I really would love to distribute it but the purple god himself wouldn't like it. The demos are more genuine and its awesome hearing him talking in the background.  I also have a version of him performing it as a solo. its short but awesome.
