  • sound ?

  • thanks

  • which is the firing order? I can´t get it.

  • @ibelivein3 1-3-5-6-4-2

  • Aren't they still using mechanical unit injectors in some models such as the M32?

  • wonderful engine

  • @amusichound Get your facts right, the main problems with all diesel engines is the NOX emissions, you get NOX at high combustion temperature, thats whe you need to get the temperature down!

Or you can use EGR to lower the combustion temperature.

But the best solution for diesel engines at the moment is SCR

  • @ollonsvin

The problem with SCR is that in order for it to work right the fuel must have less than 20ppm sulfur content. This has nearly doubled the cost of refining diesel fuel. And if NOx was that big of a problem they would had tried to get rid of it a long time ago.

  • @douro20

Here in europe we only use ULS diesel max 1ppm of sulfur,so here it works for us.

The EGR oxicat is more sensetive the the SCR cat, we operate trucks with that in east europe and

    with no problems

  • why with all the pressure of injection, the diesel does not burn instantly?

  • @boilingpoint2 Regardless of pressure in the common rail fuel system, (which can often exceed 20,000psi) the diesel will not ignite as it is not exposed to the heat source required for the ignition of the fuel. (even when the fuel is pressurized to above 20,000 psi in the common rail system).

  • it is not only the pressure of fuel needed in burning fuel,it is the heat of compression .

  • ese video esta de lujo

  • thanks for the info
