i have an rt-223,which is basically the exact same thing, ive wondered what this 1 sounds like,i wrote a song on guitar like a year ago and i was wondering,do you know if theres anyway to stop a beat halfway through a measurein song mode? i wrote a beat to the guitar riff that ends on 5-2 and the rest of the 5th measure is just silent and i need it to loop from 5-2 back to the beginning in song mode ,do you know how to do that?
Thanks Once again Max..I the appreciation i get from the real music heads that keeps me going. im amost finish working on a new joint right now so stay on the look out. PEACE!!!!
Thanks for the love man i appreciate it. I had cop mine for a J&R here in NYC.I was planing on doing a vid showing how i did the beat through trial and error. <Aybe someday i'll get around to doing it if everything falls in place.
I can't go back to editing this song because of the way it was done. I now realized the bass is too heavy but some like it that way you know so i guess it doesn't hurt the track that much. Thanks for the love though Partner and im glad you enjoyed it. this beat makes a year now that it was done.
Thank You TheHnic87 i appreciate the love Bro. I wish i could've tape me going through the motions on how i did this so people would understand. Believe it or not with the equipment i use it was faster putting this together than using a MPC. MPC does allow more but it takes time to finesse it but it pays off.On the other hand i love making things with limited resources because it more of a inspiration to all SB 246 users.
Your right though. I has its weaknesses andi had to try to mask it when i was making these beats. Honestly if i did'nt mention it people would know what i used.
dope beat. much agreed if you hadnt of said what you used ppl would be none the wiser. i personally dont think what software/hardware you create with matters its all in how you use it. and i think you did a dope job with the streetboxx.
Was excited when I first bought my Streetboxx, but over time you start to find weaknesses e.g. the fact that the internal tempo is VERY poor.
When you sequence a pattern & load it to any software (Cubase, Logic etc) every pattern quickly slips out of sync, no matter how accurately you try & match the tempo :-(
Quality products like (Boss, Roland, Akai) keep 100% perfect timing
A lot of the streetboxx sounds are bad-ass, but with poor tempo & NO MUTE function?!?!
thats what im talkin about. REAL hip hop. u looped the cd and just played your rythym section right over it with another apparatus. ladies and gentlemen this is how real hip is made.
Y^eah I was using the Streetboxx Machine you see in the pic with a digital CD player. This was the last one i did before i got the MPC. It really has no switch ups or nothing just the raw.
You sure you cant use the Line-In for that? I would have thought you could use a CD to loop it and use the Line-In to add it to the beats from the StreetBoxx. But perhaps I am wrong, I did just get the SB-246 for xmas this yr.
No you can't sample on this machine.Hopefully if i get the chance I'm going to do a video explaining what i did using the CD player. Basically using the streetboxx and lay my Drums,Shakers,Hi Hats ETC. Then on the CD player i can loop a section of a song and save sections on 3 memo buttons.Simple but the trial and error takes time. The CD player has a jog dial that lets me adjust the pitches, filter and things.
No doubt but you gotta watch the hater though Sauce them nigga Kill. You see what happened to Selena. This nigga just mads because im styling on Nigga without the MPC lol! You hiding Son i sent you a Message the other day. You got something for the Kid?
Thanks but How are you Gonna tell me? Look at the rest of my Videos with my Man L-Blades Mixing songs you see the CD-Ex 240 lighting up while he mixes on the jog dial. Thats a CD sampler right there. I do my Drum patterns First and i find samples to loop on a A-B repeat. Its has Memo a storage aslo so i can store 3 different loops I did this all with the streetboxx no lie Family. I was looking at Boon Doc videos on how to stack snares and layer kicks and they applied on the streetboxx.

how do u feed samples INTO the streetboxx bcuz i cant figure it out?..
mariahFR3SH 3 years ago
You don't Brother. Streetboxx can't do that yet. I actually playingover the sample that coming from a CD sampler.
You have to read the Info descript on the video it explains how i did it.
