Nice vid! I have the LG PS7000 50" and i love gaming on mine as well! Plasma technology today is beating the shit out of LCD! With the new plasma technology from LG there is no blurr or lagg and even if you are picky the settings in the tv itself makes it adjustable for every need (as if you even need to adjust it). Awsome Tv, awsome brand, just total win all over!
plasma is great . i am sick of lcd fans saying " bu bu teh burn in" burn in is not even close to as bad as it was befor . Smart companys like LG have fixed tvs so they dont get it nearly as easy .
@jordler Plasma, LCD,and LED Tv's are tomarrows old tech, the new tech is OLED. Less energy consumption than an LED and Better Quality than a Plasma, and requiers no Back/side lighting.
@CoolConejo Okay salesman when do these OLED's come out?? ever since 2005 they've been saying they'll release em next year and the year after than etc. It's called capitalism, they had LED backlight for a long time they just decided to sell as many ccfl's then upgrade until plasma , and lcd have no more limits they'll release the OLED which will obviously be overpriced yet cheap to make
hang on u can play games such as ps3 or xbox but not like a fucking lunatic for example 5 to 7 hours roughly 2 to 3 hours per day becaus of the colours that is supplying from the gas. LCD good but not as sharp as the plasma has LCD life is exceptional Plasma's life is very critical is like u never knw what will happen i mean if the people who are complete gamer freaks i suggest dont stick with plasma people like me like i play game 2 to 3 hours its okay hope this helps...
@andrewjax the whole "frameless" is a missconseption. it is in fact "edgeless" cause LG has immplemented a glass clear flow along the front full surface of the tv.
makes it look very nice actually. i am between 3 tvs so any suggestion would be nice. 1,LG 60 plasma 2,samsung 58 plasma 3 samsung 55lcd.
LOL, noway, u got it mixed bro, Plasma has burn-in possibility, LCDs don't therefore, the only way you can mess up your LCD while gaming is if you've got a wii, and play bowling game, lol, like my friend happened to do >_>
i have a 50" lg plasma and a ps3 and ive played numerous games for hours with no burn probs i think theres only troble if the image is left permanantly showing for like more then say 12hrs you just have to be carefull and responsible about whats on the screen
yeah, i have no worrys with my Samsung LCD tho ;-) I fell asleep in my bed playing Halo 3 in forge mode making a map, and when i woke up in morning the picture was still on the screen, no burn in ^_^ Plasmas are good, big and generally cheaper, but I pay a premium for good gear, and i also use mine as a PC display so I need an LCD
lol, happened to my telly in the lounge :-( I had a Halo 3 party with my friends when it was launched and yeh, u know the rest... only the HUDs burnt in tho, as generally everything else was moving
be carful. if you play a video game that have the same image on it for a long time like a health bar or something, it will permenatly be stuck on ur tv
that only happens if you leave the same exact image on the tv for like a day or so, and companies such as pioneer are making burn in almost impossible on plasma tvs
Plus you can put the "orbiter" option on to cycle the cells to reduce the burn.
However, my TV has a permanent fault with the screen not caused by burn, its an a4 sized fade, completely annoying and its 50% brighter than black. Currently my Tv has been in and out of repair for a month and a half - trying to settle a dispute with LG about it.
how far you have to sit for a 60" tv??
I am totally thinking about buying it . its on sale from newegg..

I think even 1920x1080 is to low for 60inch tvs (only, if the tv is less than 3m away).
