What do you call this process? I was expecting to see something like the hexagon rotary broaching tools we manufacture. I'm also wondering if different collars can be used with the same cutting tool?
I think the head is forged... so it's just 1 hit to form the head. The hole isn't flat inside but rounded, probably to avoir tool breaking/fissure during forging

socket head cap screws are pressed and not drilled like in this video.

@pa17948 Socket head screws are cold headed, not machined. They could never be manufactured cost effectively like this.
