Being 15 years old and liking this music is something to boast about? I have seen a shitload of these comments and I just don't get it, maybe I'm to old :D
@miqvPL I'm 36 and have just discovered this album. Ive been into early heavy rock all my life despite being teenager in the late 80s-early 90s. I should dig "Guns'n Roses", "Slayer" or even worse dance music or that kinda crap, but my first ever CD was Machine Head" by Deep Purple. Before that I had the earliest Maiden and WASP casettes, Accept and that kinda thing. Contemporary at the time, but I discovered that for me, nothing beats classics like Sabbath, Purple, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin.
@KapteinOpel ok, and? I was confused about "i like this music and I'm only 15!" comments, why is it so special liking classic heavy metal and being 15 years old, is this really some kind of achievement to be boasting about it? If it was a single comment that would be ok but i have seen A LOT of these comments on metal/rock songs on youtube. I can write "I love this music! And I'm only 20 years old!"- makes no sense to me as well :D
@KapteinOpel Hmm, I think I get it now. Apparently you get dumber when you start thinking how stupid some comments are :D Cheers and have hope you will find new music addressing to your needs
@miqvPL Well its an anachronism really.. Being your age in 2012 you should really be into Justin Bieber and that kinda crap... There is no such thing as "new music" anymore, its all regurgitated shit in new variants. Kinda like an AC/DC album only more comprehensive, all the songs sound like one you've heard before or a mix of shit heard before.... Discover the classics, man!
@KapteinOpel there is new music (metal and rock), there is no new pop (like new ABBA, or sensational Queen multigenre music), it's gone. I have discovered classics (Deep Purple, Zepp's, Dio, Sabbath, Scorpions, ZZ top and more) they're awesome but nothing gets me so amped like folk/power or power folk metal. New bands like Sonata Arctica, Turisas, Trollfest, Wintersun, Alestorm, Delain give me hope that there will always be great music. And who the **** is Justin Bieber? :D
@miqvPL What I mean is.. Sonata Arctica sounds abit like old Scorpions mixed with "something" and some of those other bands u mentioned sound like variants of Black Metal.. Nothing really NEW although I must agree on that some of the songs are quite good. Myself I just discovered "Blackmore's Night"... Blackmore is one of the good ole guys, this time he goes really oldstyle with his wife Candice Night... Makes me fade away in a pleasant dream after all the Motorhead and stuff.. U should try.. ;)
@KapteinOpel Blackmore=Rainbow=Long Live Rock and Roll with Dio, amazing song :D
I get your meaning but how do you expect something new to pop up? Every new genre is somehow connected/evolved/inspired from other. But f*ck it, enough offtop :D Life is music, music is good-> Life is good. Gonna listen to some violent black folk metal or sweet soft Delain or Blackmore.. And curse these responsible for ruining pop music :D
Eitherways, there are not such things as heaven or hell, and its about time to admit it. Dio is still alive in our hearts, in our minds and in our speakers, and always will be. no need to use these silly religion inventions just to feel confident.
@asgasdhawh There is a Black Sabbath album called Never Say Die. I think Die Young is for roaches and bed bugs to do. Not you! Ronnie lived a fairly long life. He was almost 68 when he died. I'd like to see you make it as long as Ronnie bare minimum. 78 would be good. Nobody in Black Sabbath died at 27 so do not misinterpret......."Tomorrow never comes." Of course it does.
Dio isn't playing in heaven or in hell. He understood these places as metaphors, and he didn't need to take up the mantle of religion to give his life meaning. He gave it meaning through the sheer excellence of the music he made and the way he touched the lives of his fans and everyone around him. That's how he'll be remembered.
@cmc5788 That means that every word he sang was a cartoon ? No - no way !
Ronnie just couldnt admit to "you lot" that he knew the truth . Its obvious to me that he was versed in doctrine ...and that he probably wouldnt even admit to himself how much he believed ...his lyrics have too much power and knowledge to shake it off as simply metaphor . In the demon pit that is metal ..your minds are controlled - fuck it , i can handle your critcism -if it helps even 1 person see light in the black.
Absolutely! I met the Man, and you are right on the money! Powerfully intelligent and well read, all of His muusic describes the metaphors... a great poet....
@cmc5788 Absolutely. He'll live on in our memories and his music. Three hundred years from now, no one will remember Justin Beiber, but people will still be listening to Dio, Jim Morrison and The Doors, Elvis, and other great writers, artists and performers who will live on forever. Look at Bach, Mozart and Beethoven for instance.
@happyshark100 I said the comments about him playing in heaven and him being in heaven or whatever are cheesy. I didn't say Dio himself was cheesy. :p
ronnie james the best vocalist sabbath had...R.I.P a true metal god !!!! die young ironic...what a talent what a waste ....your legend will live for ever !!!! MAGIC
@jzsking Really? Come on, if you're going to insult someone based upon their intelligence, couldn't you at least use proper grammar/spelling? Is it that much to ask for?
Also, do you really see America as the world's worst threat? Are you blind to all of the turmoil going on in Third World countries; the massacres and the genocides? Is America really that bad, thinking of this?
@DarkWolf5250 yes, for sure i'm gonna blame the America for this
all the years of imperialism over south america, middle east, the african countries, all the wars made to enlarge the influence os the America on these, all the shameful coroporative actions all over the world to maximize YOUR consumism
say, what massacres are you talking about?
about the ones happening in middle-east and north africa, from the leaders which AMERICA has helped put on power like Gaddafi, Saddam, Osama...
@CaioSilvano And you, dear sir, are apparently an angry and bitter individual. As it turns out, I don't actually follow politics and recent history particularly closely, so whatever I may say would probably have some error in it which you would no doubt pick up upon and then proceed to rag on me for it... So I shall not bother with that. However, keep in mind that, even if the Americans set up some bad people, there are always going to be bad ones they had nothing to do with, so not everything
@DarkWolf5250 no, in fact i'm a brazilian guy studying history and having some of the best time of my life graduating in a tropical country
you are probably wrong in many things... for example, thinking that what i said is "recent history", american imperialism dates as long as the Trial of Tears or the Big Stick policy (these things you DO know, right?)
i'm not saying that all americans are evil... i'm just saying that YOU are NAIVE and that, maybe, you should seek to know more 'bout history
@CaioSilvano Quite frankly, I've never heard of those things, and don't particularly care. You are, or at least appear as such, to be (as I've said before) bitter for whatever reason, and add to that a sense of superiority which was conveyed by the way you answered my last comment. I may be wrong, you may be wrong, whatever, but I see no real point in continuing this conversation. So... Have a good life, eh?
@DarkWolf5250 or maybe, you just saw that you can't win this topic with me, and you chose to give up in with that pseudo-superiority which is, in fact, frustration for loss
@CaioSilvano Arguing with people who have their minds set determinately and dogmatically on an idea never works... There's no point for me to argue... And yes, you more likely are more educated than me at least on these topics, so I really am not qualified to carry on this argument. So whatever... I'm not frustrated, by the way... Just bored.
@CaioSilvano Um, my country's history? Who in the bloody hell says I'm American? North American, sure, but that's as far as it goes!
Did I ever say that America is not imperialistic?
I'm also having a good time watching you absolutely brutalize all of the rules of grammar known to the English language. So, please continue, by all means!
@CaioSilvano Well, that was a somewhat biased and incorrect thing to say... But whatever, if you wish to think that way, then you're American too, idiot.... (You know, South AMERICAN??)
Also, you are correct. No, I can't speak Portuguese... At least use some capitals, eh?
meeehhhh... sabbath is good with dio, but i mean, when they had ozzy black sabbath was BLACK SABBATH... with dio ther heaven and hell, not saying either one is better just saying they sond different to me :D
@jzsking Dude, that is a completely generalized statement. I myself, being American, am not too fond of the US, but how are we evil in any way? Your country is no better than ours and vice-versa. You would know that, if you opened your mind. Don't judge a country because of its people, or its actions. NEVER. It's the same as racism, and most people find this right. If you don't, I pray to the Lord, and especially RJ Dio(RIP) that you become saved from that damned closed mind
@ninslipknot204 ,try doing a goggle search in the future so you dont make yourself look like a dick & mis inform people ,he did 4 albums ,if you were a fan you would know about (live evil) & dehumanizer ..
Sabbath are one of the bands that I would do near enough anything to see live, I'd smash my guitars to bits, throw all my records and CDs under a tank...seriously, I should of been born earlier.
@Kertal44ki in a sense that is correct, but they also released Live Evil, which is a great live album, although it's got some issues with the audio quality.
Best bass line in a metal song.

@Kertal44ki in a sense that is correct, but they also released Live Evil, which is a great live album, although it's got some issues with the audio quality.
