What's also cool about this clip is the fact that the odd-shaped old Gibson Pete's playing slide on here was a gift to him by the late Allen Collins (ex lead guitarist of Lynyrd Skynyrd fame), and is the same guitar that was used on "Freebird". Pete used to play along with them on that tune as an encore when his old band (Climax Blues Band) toured with Skynyrd back in the day! Thanks for posting this clip!

It seems thatPeter, Glen, Paul and Matti have a combination that only improves with each passing day! Now if only the gig backers here in the U.S. would wake up and help us book them for a tour in the "States" it would give everyone here the chance to see a truly great Blues Band!

Now THAT'S the way the slide guitar is supposed to be played! There are other guitarists out there getting lots of hype for their slide guitar prowess (like Derek Trucks for instance), but there aren't any players out there that can play better than this guy, Pete Haycock. That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it! Pete Haycock's True Blues, featuring Glen Turner, and a smokin' rhythm section, is one blow-the-roof-off quartet! Brings back memories of the Climax Blues Band, only better...
