We may as well centralize everything and make everyone a government employee, and claim that if the government didn't do everything, nobody would do anything.
Your video misses the mark. Government is nothing more than a monoploy. And things like roads, police forces, infrastructure, the military, etc do not need to be enforced by the state. There are private sector solutions. And it has only been recent history that governemnt paid for these things anyway. All of these things were not invented nor created by governemnt buy have been taken over and debased by government. Governtment is the cause of disparity, not solution.
@treetorn the government of ancient rome paid for infrastructure, the military, the law enforcement, the fire dept., etc. Exactly how do you define "recent"?
Perhaps you forget (or never bothered to learn) that the last time we had privatized fire departments in the US, we had to put an end to it because they were going around lighting fires just so they could extort money out of people as their homes burned and the privatized police did nothing because they got a cut of the profits.
And if you're really so convinced gov't is the cause of all the problems, go take a look at Germany. a very idiotic video. no one in the republican party encourages elimination of government otherwise it would be call the anarchist party. any republican will tell you government plays a huge role in protecting our liberties and defense and some other small issues. however our government today has way overstepped what it was made to do, so in short no taxes bad, but lower taxes and smaller government good.
I love how it says that we'll all end up serving feudal lords while we're paying more than 25% income taxes right now which means we currently pay more into the system than serfs did. We're already serving feudal lords.
If Obama wanted 0 0 0 no tax plan. republicans would argue for tax hikes. this is how the world sees the republicans and there is nothing they can say or do to reverse the damage they have caused this country.
Zero federal income tax (opt-out) and let States deal with themselves is not anarchy and civilization collapse... it's competition between States which increases wealth.
@byteusa No taxes means no government of any form, including state government. There's a reason taxes have existed since before the birth of civilized society.
the logic of markfiore:"if the government is not doing it, no one is doing it.". If it is not supplied under threat of coercion by a monopoly of violence, it is not supplied at all.
GREAT THINKING
No monopoly on policing:no policing. No monopoly on roads:no roads.
BRILJANT, stunning logic.
Without a ministery of sex:NO SEX
without a department of agriculture:no agriculture
without a department of education: NO EDUCATION
Equality starts with some men ruling over you and coercing you, BRILJANT
Anarcho-capitalism might make me and my family for generations to come an impoverished serf, but at least I won't have no burdensome government regulation dictatin' to my lawdh and master that he should put toxic mind alterin' flouride in the puddle I'm allowed to drink from, my kids will never have to face that creepy socialised edumucashun, and no damn taxes on the gasoline I am allowed to buy from his company store!!! FREEDOM!!!
@LoveMeLoveMyDog80 Yes, where did those crazy conservatives get the idea that the government taking a step back from the market would lead to prosperity? There’s absolutely positively no proof that lazzie –faire capitalism works—unless you count Hong Kong! XD
@BlameTheFirst Yeah.... You probably should know that Hong Kong has that eb1l socialised housing and education the right hate so much, and that MTR - that great private success story - yeah, it's actually majority owned by the government, and virtually all the infrastructure it operates was built when it was actually completely public system. Sorry to burst your bubble an all...
This has be his dumbest cartoon, yet. Two can play this moronic game.
If government is the solution then I guess we need more government. How about total government control? Let's move to a Soviet or Cuban or old style Chinese communist government. That will be the solution. No food, no cars, no gas, problem is solved. We can regulate everything and the problem of greed goes away. No more corporate or capitalist greed.
@666sigma Trying to use logic, reason and reality to argue with the flakey little commie-wannabe's on this page is no use. It's best to just let them have their stupid cartoons while they rot in their moms' basements complaining that the government hand-out machine isn't working fast enough.
What annoys me to no end is that our governments tax us to hell and back, and yet despite getting all of this tax money, they still somehow ran a deficit so large it is bankrupting countries...
Let's face it, no amount of taxes will ever satisfy government, they are addicted to spending ever increasing amounts of other people's money.
Taxes need to go down, not to minimal levels; but sustainable levels for what society needs.
@AnnoyedDragon - Of course, the deficit is caused by spending, and not by the rampant and systematic tax avoidance at the corporate level. No sir, not at all.
@LoveMeLoveMyDog80 The public sector is bigger than the private sector in the UK, which is unsustainable, given the public sector is funded by taxing the productive part of our economy. The state is bloated, however you spin it.
Corporations of course have their blame, but to place our national debt entirely on their shoulders is inaccurate.
@AnnoyedDragon Only we are talking about the US, where this is not the case. Furthermore, a sizeable chunk of the public spending in the US is directly or indirectly channelled into military projects (which using only direct expenditures, the US spends three times over the Western average as % of GDP), which most conservatives treat as a sacred cow. That, my friend, is unsustainable - as history has shown clearly and repeatedly.
@LoveMeLoveMyDog80 And a variety of other unsustainable spending projects such as the retirement ponzi scheme, medical programs and other unfunded liabilities.
You are not going to convince me that government deficits are entirely down to corporations. The government like to buy votes by making promises they cannot afford.
@LoveMeLoveMyDog80 Uhh yeah, that's about right, actually. In fact, the government can tax every single person and corporation in this country at 100%! and it still wouldn't close the deficit or repay the national debt. So yeah, it IS about too much spending. We don't have a tax revenue shortage, we have out of control politicians who aren't held accountable when they spend OUR money.
For instance, the annual budget of NYC alone is $70Billion! Is that a reasonable amount of spending to you?
@eluminated - That budget sounds pretty reasonable for a city of the size - though I'd be interested in knowing how the cake is carved up as NYC public schools and library systems have severe funding issues, whilst street policing is excessive even as criminal investigation and analysis is lacking . That said, I believe this is more due to cultural than financial issues, and similar problems can be seen in most US cities.
@LoveMeLoveMyDog80 A third of it goes to schools, about $23 BILLION for 1.1 million students. That's more than $20,000/year per student. But that is still somehow not enough? That's a "severe funding issue"? How much should NYC be spending then? Is $50,000 enough? How about $100,000?
Is it really a funding issue or could it actually be that there are many other factors preventing the students of NYC from getting their money's worth??
@LoveMeLoveMyDog80 (cont) I agree with you that it's a cultural problem. The problem is our culture has been conditioned to depend upon a centralized system of government to hand-out provisions and micro-manage every single aspect of our markets and every single second of our lives. And when that system can't support itself and can't deliver on its promises then we're conditioned to demand it be funded by MORE taxes from those we're told aren't "paying their fair share". It's absurd, really.
Are they having problems like here in the US where it's been just the opposite happening: basic services cut, markets deregulated to do their own thing and a culture that thinks millions becoming destitute and dying is just some cost for "freedumb"?
@booley Markets deregulated?? Where? You can't open an umbrella repair shop,or lemonade stand without complying with a phonebook's worth of local and fed business regulations. So where is this unregulated market you speak of? And you seem to be assuming (wrongly) that it is the prerogative of the government to provide (see: control) those "basic" services. Don't you trust your neighbors or your own decision making abilities?
And where are millions becoming "destitute" and dying in this country?
Finally we’re giving anarchy a chance because lets face it, government is the only thing that protects these Wall Street criminals from us disemboweling them with a wooden spoon
@Mds109 That is because 47% of HOUSEHOLDS make less than 45k per year. Not exactly a lot of money to support a family of three or more. And by the way, if you are a family of three and earning 45k, you do not qualify for food stamps, wellfare, medicade or practically any other government benefit.
Yes because without government scum and the rest legal lording cohort shit head liars, the world would crumble to pieces and chaos would be everywhere. lololololololololol
Oh well better make sure we've got the banking crooks, corrupt laws, stupid politicians, and controlled media shillbag cunts ready brainwash and dramatized everything to manipulate uni(n)formed drone masses with further bullshit. Good job, markfiore you fucking shillbag!
This is exactly what I've been aruguing when I came across brain stems that want to get rid of all taxes. The roads, cops, firefighters, agencies that make sure that Megacorp isn't feeding us bat droppings and chicken feet and packaging them as chicken nuggets and the list goes on. This is paid for by taxes. Would I take home more? Sure! But I have to admit. I enjoyed my drive into work this morning on freshly plowed roads after the snow last night. Roads I helped pay for.
@andreo Of course! Everyone knows that our taxes are always used in the best interests of the American people. They only go to good things like roads and schools and post offices and bank bailouts and illegal wars and torturing terrorists and imprisoning pot smokers and bridges to nowhere and more bank bailouts and…
@BlameTheFirst So taxes should be abolished because of government corruption? That's like saying prisons should be abolished because courts sometimes make mistakes.
@BlameTheFirst Sometimes they are, some times they're not. Ever hear the term: throwing out the baby with the bath water. Yeah, it would apply to your comment.
You don't like the way your money is being spent? Fine, vote out the person that's spending it. Talk to the person that's supposed to represent you. Or better yet, run for office, win, and make a difference.
@SCWoodbury2009 Taxes & legal policy goons are the price you pay for an uncivilized society directed by lying crooks, because you can't fucking grow up & be responsible to take care of things around you. To fucking lazy to pay attention to anything outside of TV & parroted lies they teach you to be a good supporting idiot, which gives you security in your little life that pays the mortgages & insurance criminals etc.The naive don't see morally corrupt puppet 'society' is a dream for fascist liars
@Koog1e No one has America all to themselves. Liberty doesn't mean free from compromise. Let's take our justice system for example. Though it's not perfect, it's better than most other countries. America has over 300 million people of diverse races and cultures. There's no way you could have private police and private courts in this country. Someone or some group will feel they've been wronged. Then you have revenge and then war, and that's all America would be. Civilization isn't free.
@SCWoodbury2009 Compromise, Liberty?!? having laugh if you think any G20 country is that!. Their justice system is a fucking disgrace! Most of the judges should be in fucking prison! along with the state state persecuting scumbags. They don't have no fucking morals, their morals are dictated by legalese that has been manipulated by politicians in the pockets of corporations and other affiliated interest groups. Civ will be free when the state cesspit of intelligentsia/finance scum don't lie.
@SCWoodbury2009 "There's no way you could have private police and private courts in this country." Yeh , those who control governments want a monopoly of any protection and justice racket for them.. one law for the collected sheep, none for scum running it. "Someone or some group will feel they've been wronged." like a casino gov/state lawyers always win. "Then you have revenge and then war, and that's all America would be."..That is what America has become.
@Koog1e What world do you live in? Some paranoid conspiracy theory world? I live in Massachusetts. I work, I own a house, I vote, and I pay my taxes. I'm not saying that government is perfect. Government and corporations are flawed because humans are flawed. But so what! You don't take the worse examples of both and then burn everything down. Not everything is a conspiracy. Government isn't a boogey-man out to get you. Things can be improved upon without destruction. It just takes time and work.
Yeah, because feudalism was the result of not enough taxation and government regulation of society. And rich people want to store all their money in their mattresses and not buy anything or employ anyone, because what's the fun in being rich if you're not gonna ignore the world around you and eat your money to survive?
But no need to make any sense when you have flash animation on your side, right? Moron.
@eluminated He never actually said 'feudalism' for what the form of government would be. However, a King (or Noble) and, for all intensive purposes, peasants are what would come. The rich would rule, and have all the power, with the poor relying on their king. Am I deaf, or did it he that the 'kings' would employ them? Building roads and what not. >_>
Lastly, have you ever seen a markfiore video? They are all incredibly sarcastic. Its the internet, nothing has to make sense... ever.
@eluminated Side note: Feudalism was the result of, as a person in my class called it, baby monarchs. It was Kings owning land, and having nobles watching over them. they had to lend their army when needed, pay for knight ship, blah blah blah 6th grade review. The government that he suggests would happen, would more than likely be a monarchy, other than a feudalism.
So.. ya know. I like smart stuff :D. Bye. Love you. Like, a lot. O_O Awkward silence.
@FreakingLaugher So eliminating taxes and the role of governement within society would result in a monarchy? And how would this monarchy, or little monarchies as you've suggested, support themselves without a system of taxation?...
Would consumers in the free market that rises to fill the void left by government support these monarchies by willingly buying their own chains and paying the monarchs to enslave them? Is that what's being suggested here?
@eluminated Are you new? A few underlings would get paid special status to enforce their will on everyone else. You can't possibly be this childishly stupid while still capable of forming those sentences. That's a sad thought.
@xyzoneon Paid with WHAT? With no system of taxation how would the OVERlings amass the wealth with which to hire the enforcers? The only other option for wealth transfer without a government would be the open market, so you really are suggesting that the people would pay for their own enslavement?
And it's interesting that you're complaining about a feudalistic system with oppressive enforcers while your profile pic is Che fucking Guevara, you braindead fuck. Do you have ANY idea who he was??
@eluminated I don't care about what your brainwashing told you about Che Guevara or anyone else. Save it, mope. Keep your asinine barking orders to yourself. I've been through the dance of bullshit with hordes of idiots like you. You're not going to say anything new, I can assure you.
Just make yourself useful and keep dreaming about a corporate camelot of unicorns, rainbows and gold bridges where nobody gets oppressed, so the rest of us can laugh.
@xyzoneon And you keep worshipping a murderer, you stupid piece of shit. You don't fucking know what oppression is!!!! You should thank your lucky stars your whore mother was able to shit you out in this country instead of any number of socialist fuck holes you think are hip. Go check out any of them, ANY OF THEM for a fuckin week and see how cool it is.. Or in fact, just wear your Che t-shirt through the Cuban neighborhoods in Miami and see if you don't get your faggot commie ass killed.

a very idiotic video. no one in the republican party encourages elimination of government otherwise it would be call the anarchist party. any republican will tell you government plays a huge role in protecting our liberties and defense and some other small issues. however our government today has way overstepped what it was made to do, so in short no taxes bad, but lower taxes and smaller government good.

Oops. It is HUMAN greed.

AnnoyedDragon 3 months ago
@AnnoyedDragon - Of course, the deficit is caused by spending, and not by the rampant and systematic tax avoidance at the corporate level. No sir, not at all.
LoveMeLoveMyDog80 3 months ago
@LoveMeLoveMyDog80 The public sector is bigger than the private sector in the UK, which is unsustainable, given the public sector is funded by taxing the productive part of our economy. The state is bloated, however you spin it.
Corporations of course have their blame, but to place our national debt entirely on their shoulders is inaccurate.
AnnoyedDragon 3 months ago
@AnnoyedDragon Only we are talking about the US, where this is not the case. Furthermore, a sizeable chunk of the public spending in the US is directly or indirectly channelled into military projects (which using only direct expenditures, the US spends three times over the Western average as % of GDP), which most conservatives treat as a sacred cow. That, my friend, is unsustainable - as history has shown clearly and repeatedly.
LoveMeLoveMyDog80 3 months ago
@LoveMeLoveMyDog80 And a variety of other unsustainable spending projects such as the retirement ponzi scheme, medical programs and other unfunded liabilities.
You are not going to convince me that government deficits are entirely down to corporations. The government like to buy votes by making promises they cannot afford.
AnnoyedDragon 3 months ago
@LoveMeLoveMyDog80 Uhh yeah, that's about right, actually. In fact, the government can tax every single person and corporation in this country at 100%! and it still wouldn't close the deficit or repay the national debt. So yeah, it IS about too much spending. We don't have a tax revenue shortage, we have out of control politicians who aren't held accountable when they spend OUR money.
For instance, the annual budget of NYC alone is $70Billion! Is that a reasonable amount of spending to you?
eluminated 3 months ago
@eluminated - That budget sounds pretty reasonable for a city of the size - though I'd be interested in knowing how the cake is carved up as NYC public schools and library systems have severe funding issues, whilst street policing is excessive even as criminal investigation and analysis is lacking . That said, I believe this is more due to cultural than financial issues, and similar problems can be seen in most US cities.
LoveMeLoveMyDog80 3 months ago
@LoveMeLoveMyDog80 A third of it goes to schools, about $23 BILLION for 1.1 million students. That's more than $20,000/year per student. But that is still somehow not enough? That's a "severe funding issue"? How much should NYC be spending then? Is $50,000 enough? How about $100,000?
Is it really a funding issue or could it actually be that there are many other factors preventing the students of NYC from getting their money's worth??
eluminated 3 months ago
@LoveMeLoveMyDog80 (cont) I agree with you that it's a cultural problem. The problem is our culture has been conditioned to depend upon a centralized system of government to hand-out provisions and micro-manage every single aspect of our markets and every single second of our lives. And when that system can't support itself and can't deliver on its promises then we're conditioned to demand it be funded by MORE taxes from those we're told aren't "paying their fair share". It's absurd, really.
eluminated 3 months ago
@eluminated wow, what country is that?
Are they having problems like here in the US where it's been just the opposite happening: basic services cut, markets deregulated to do their own thing and a culture that thinks millions becoming destitute and dying is just some cost for "freedumb"?
booley 3 months ago
@booley Markets deregulated?? Where? You can't open an umbrella repair shop,or lemonade stand without complying with a phonebook's worth of local and fed business regulations. So where is this unregulated market you speak of? And you seem to be assuming (wrongly) that it is the prerogative of the government to provide (see: control) those "basic" services. Don't you trust your neighbors or your own decision making abilities?
And where are millions becoming "destitute" and dying in this country?

@Koog1e No one has America all to themselves. Liberty doesn't mean free from compromise. Let's take our justice system for example. Though it's not perfect, it's better than most other countries. America has over 300 million people of diverse races and cultures. There's no way you could have private police and private courts in this country. Someone or some group will feel they've been wronged. Then you have revenge and then war, and that's all America would be. Civilization isn't free.
SCWoodbury2009 3 months ago 2
@SCWoodbury2009 Compromise, Liberty?!? having laugh if you think any G20 country is that!. Their justice system is a fucking disgrace! Most of the judges should be in fucking prison! along with the state state persecuting scumbags. They don't have no fucking morals, their morals are dictated by legalese that has been manipulated by politicians in the pockets of corporations and other affiliated interest groups. Civ will be free when the state cesspit of intelligentsia/finance scum don't lie.
Koog1e 3 months ago
@SCWoodbury2009 "There's no way you could have private police and private courts in this country." Yeh , those who control governments want a monopoly of any protection and justice racket for them.. one law for the collected sheep, none for scum running it. "Someone or some group will feel they've been wronged." like a casino gov/state lawyers always win. "Then you have revenge and then war, and that's all America would be."..That is what America has become.
Civilization isn't free. Correct!
Koog1e 3 months ago

Moron.
eluminated 3 months ago
@eluminated He never actually said 'feudalism' for what the form of government would be. However, a King (or Noble) and, for all intensive purposes, peasants are what would come. The rich would rule, and have all the power, with the poor relying on their king. Am I deaf, or did it he that the 'kings' would employ them? Building roads and what not. >_>
Lastly, have you ever seen a markfiore video? They are all incredibly sarcastic. Its the internet, nothing has to make sense... ever.
FreakingLaugher 3 months ago
@FreakingLaugher Except that this makes perfect sense and at least one republican, michelle bachmann has stated support for 0% corporate tax.

xyzoneon 3 months ago 2
@eluminated God damn you are a pretentious tool! It's a fucking joke, not a dissertation on history and economics.
disrxt 3 months ago 3
@eluminated Side note: Feudalism was the result of, as a person in my class called it, baby monarchs. It was Kings owning land, and having nobles watching over them. they had to lend their army when needed, pay for knight ship, blah blah blah 6th grade review. The government that he suggests would happen, would more than likely be a monarchy, other than a feudalism.
So.. ya know. I like smart stuff :D. Bye. Love you. Like, a lot. O_O Awkward silence.
And lol at @disrxt. He can join the orgy.
FreakingLaugher 3 months ago 2
@FreakingLaugher So eliminating taxes and the role of governement within society would result in a monarchy? And how would this monarchy, or little monarchies as you've suggested, support themselves without a system of taxation?...
Would consumers in the free market that rises to fill the void left by government support these monarchies by willingly buying their own chains and paying the monarchs to enslave them? Is that what's being suggested here?
eluminated 3 months ago
@eluminated Are you new? A few underlings would get paid special status to enforce their will on everyone else. You can't possibly be this childishly stupid while still capable of forming those sentences. That's a sad thought.
xyzoneon 3 months ago
@xyzoneon Paid with WHAT? With no system of taxation how would the OVERlings amass the wealth with which to hire the enforcers? The only other option for wealth transfer without a government would be the open market, so you really are suggesting that the people would pay for their own enslavement?
And it's interesting that you're complaining about a feudalistic system with oppressive enforcers while your profile pic is Che fucking Guevara, you braindead fuck. Do you have ANY idea who he was??
eluminated 3 months ago
@eluminated I don't care about what your brainwashing told you about Che Guevara or anyone else. Save it, mope. Keep your asinine barking orders to yourself. I've been through the dance of bullshit with hordes of idiots like you. You're not going to say anything new, I can assure you.
