Damn I can't wait for this game. I had a dream the other night I was going to the store to pick up my pre-order! When I got there the box said SKYRIM and I was totally bummed out. I have Wow and SWTOR and am completely bored of both. They pretty much suck. I also am on the DOTA2 Beta. I like WINDRUNNER and Natures Prophet.

Imo i think this game will blow but thats my Opinion as an Experience and long term Gw1 player ive gotten used to the combat system and thats why i like Guildwars i like havin builds and stuffs and do things on your own this so far showed for gw2 its gonna be another grind fest game like any other I dont think im gonna play it i might check it out with a friend and if its F2p i might buy it atm i got Swtor and im happy with that ^^

@kevinguit15 It's going to be free to play after initial purchase, and gw1 combat was problematic because of builds as well as GVG being completely different gameplay from open arena.

GW2 and SWTOR are just your standard tab-target themepark casual fest MMOs that will just provide brainless entertainment, with no real challenge or thought put into it whatsoever, kind of like WoW.

@gortijx You can miss abilities, as well as reflect projectiles, prevent a single attack, work with illusions, set traps, dodge, combo with your own abilities and others. You may think it's "mindless" but play LoL, DOTA, or HON, and that's how complex the gameplay will be.

Is that so? Fair enough, man. However, I still believe a MMORPG should focus solely on open-world PvP, and not just instance it and turn it into a counter-strike ripoff where you just stand in a given city and press a button, and that's the only interaction with the player world.

Because people are lazy, and lazy fucks are the ones that are being catered by the industry, I find it hard to believe that will change.

@gortijx The game caters to a wide variety of skills, from newbski to proski. There is some open world pvp, called WvWvW, where you fight against 2 servers in very large open world pvp. Also, if you're a good player, it will be obvious from the first mob you fight. Just like people complain that WoW is too easy, it still has a huge skillcap at high-level pvp, the only problem is the gear, level grind, and class imbalances, which is a barrier to entry for any player.

Because nobody ELSE playing TOR or ANY star wars game ever before got a lightsaber and a jedi knight, amirite? If I want to play star wars, I'll load up KOTOR or Jedi Outcast II. An mmo environment is NOT where I want to play star wars.....its where I want to play guild wars, motherfucker.
