  • STUPID MUSIC HOPE YOUR SYURP IS BETTER THAN YOUR MUSIC?

  • great viseo, but the music's awful....jazz is so pretentious!

  • Does this end up killing the maple tree ??

  • This is a very good video. Well done ;)

  • Okay, so now I won't cry so much when I see the prices for organic maple syrup. Thanks for sharing this!

  • For a great French Toast recipe and details Google and read "MAPLE SYRUP ORIGIN AND FRENCH TOAST RECIPE WITH JILL"

  • 1:39 I would laugh if you dropped your camera!! xD

  • OMG 1:39 is a year supply of syrup for me XD time to start cooking pancakes.

  • Don't you filter it at all before you start to boil it? It looks like it's going right from that dirty blue barrel into the boiler?

  • @javaxsqft Boiling would do the filtering on its own...

  • @jwhite8789 Oh come on! I could "boil" a bucket of mud and it would be sanitary but not very appealing. Even a little cheese cloth would at least get the twigs and dirt out. Take some pride in your workmanship!

  • @javaxsqft Yeah, but it's not a bucket of mud, only a little bit of debris. Also, I imagine only the outside of the barrel is dirty, which makes sense, as it seems like its constantly outside, so there's little point in cleaning it.

  • i think it looks fine.

tbh, most of the stuff you see on super market shelves probably go through really grubby factories farrrr worse than this home-made stuff :) i prefer this way.

  • @sushiable A lil to late to say anything LOL but The stuff on the shelves are not even real maple syrup. Its High fructose corn syrup and artificial flavoring. The good stuff is the real 100% natural stuff.

  • @showmetheinuyasha Yeah, I am talking of course about maple syrup and the conditions of those places.

  • @sushiable Oh ok. To them its about profits and money

  • @ToolsnFire

The grading system is based on the old ideals of syrup. Originally most syrup was turned into maple suger. For a general sweatner you wouldnt really want something with a strong taste.

  • the sap in the bucket

  • how long did you wait to collect all that sap?

  • interesting video. the only problem i have with the whole thing is the apparent lack of any effort toward making an at least somewhat sanitary product.

i'm sure it's "tradition" to use small plastic buckets and the large blue garbage cans to collect the syrup but i wouldn't buy the product if i knew this was how it was being produced, especially after watching it boil in an old, rusted outdoor stove and seeing large pieces of some kind of sediment floating on top of the unboiled sap.

  • @elitet0kr @elitet0kr did you inbred ass even ever see maple syrup made? either way or anyway its not gonna be the most sanitary product to buy, obviously you dont know shit about making syrup, almost everyone makes it dumbfuck i do it with my cousin at his sugar shack where we make a shitload of cash, because we are more in a higher class with our tools and machines its never gonna be sanitary

  • @riverunner17 lol, troll alert.

  • @elitet0kr btw who could give a shit if you didnt buy THE PRODUCT and no one really cares about your problem, how about you go out in the bush and show us how to make maple syrup bud, your pathetic, dis other peoples shit and you probably dont know fuck all about how to make syrup

  • @elitet0kr btw why do you think the sap is boiled out dumb fuck it also serves as cleaning it out haha dumbass people like you piss me off thinkin you know how to do shit fucking pathetic goofs

  • @elitet0kr

There's no problem - it's boiled for hours and hours. That's how you sanitize things. You have to reduce it tenfold, so that is a LOT of boiling. If you won't buy it, that leaves more for me! Looks great!

  • Seems like it's not worth it so much sap for so little syrup. That stuff must sell for at least $60 a gallon.

  • :o AMAZING, I NEVER HAVE SEEN THAT IN COLOMBIA.. I GUESS THERE AREN´T MAPLE TREES HERE!! I WOULD LIKE TO TASTE THAT!

  • :O amazing... i never have seen that in Colombia! i guess there aren´t maple trees here :S .. i don´t know! I WOULD LIKE TO TASTE THAT :p

  • first of all its eather sugar or red maple

  • silver maple's too

  • i cant believe theres a aaron goldberg tune on this random video i looked up after having a thought about maple syrup

  • haha i just got it somewhere of the computer at random......

  • lol same here

  • Thanks for sharring!

Your uncle sure have a huge backyard! :D

  • What type of drill did you use (the handheld one)? could you please provide a url of where I could get one? thanks 4 the help!

  • It's called a Brace, they have been used for like hundreds of Years! Try looking around at yard sales for one, thats where i got mine, and i was lucky enough to find some bits. I've seen them at hardware stores too, new, but expensive.

  • at 2:01 what font are you using?

  • wow thnx this helped me in my everyday life

  • Wow really nice job on the video! The Jazz really adds to the movie too! 5 Stars

  • can you watch my video and see if mine is a sugar maple?

  • srry im not a maple syurp expert i just made the video :-(

  • Nice video! I really like the music too- what is it?

  • I was wondering why is sap only good in the beginning of spring?

  • i just had my first taste of real maple syrup today. blows that junk you get in the grocery store out the window! wished we could do that here in the south. i'm assuming it's a certain type of maple tree you have to get the sap from right? we have maple trees here in AR but i don't think they're the same thing.

  • I'm to for sure but I think it can be any sugur maple tree. :-)

  • to get sap from a tree you need it to freeze in the night and thaw in the morning. if it dosent freeze the sap will not flow. also you need a very cold winter to get any amount of production if its mild the sap has less sugar content so it takes longer to boil and the tree puts out even less.

  • Hi

Great video! I have a friend who has known your uncle for many years and we were fortunate to have been out there this Saturday to watch the operation. Totally awesome day.

  • really how do you know my uncle???

  • I know your uncle through my friend Bill. Next time you see him, tell him that Rosalie and Bill said "hello" I am sure he will fill you in on how he and Bill know each other as their friendship goes way back to when they both actually farmed. Your uncle also gave me some syrup so I can't wait to make some really good pancakes. Yum!

  • does your friend bill make beer???? if he does i think i know him=-)

  • Hi

My friend Bill does not make beer, but I think you probably met Tom. He does make beer and he was helping your uncle on Saturday when we were there.

  • oppps his name was rom not bill next time i see my uncle i will ask him about your friend bill. how did you find this video any way???
