I agree with epicbethyname, They really should translate this version of the game. It shouldn't be very difficult, just take the original stuff from the original nocturne, and translate whatever's new to the game. Pratically nothing. They did it before with FFXII IZJS ;-;

Raidou and Dante are just as intimidating, since both are equally badass. Both of them let you know right away you're fucked.

...Meh. Practicality? This isn't any different than the Dante battle. It feels reskinned. Only 'summon' was in the midst of the one attack. I skipped over the rest, but... Honestly, it would had felt more like Summoner vs Summoner if Raidou summoned devils by his side for you and your guys to fight as well. So essentially?

The execution of what could had been neat was really disappointing.

Well all of Raidou's demon's for his attacks (Yoshitsune, Makoi, Moh Shuvu, Mishaguji etc) are all demons that aren't in Nocturne. So they would have had to coded them as enemies too, and add them to the roster of demons which would have complicated things.

The cat is Gouto, his mentor. He talks because Raidou isn't a talkative guy. It's not the same cat as in DDS.

Everybody says that, but I just don't think Raidou fits this game's atmosphere. He's a great character and all, but I think Dante just fits the futuristic- apocalypse type setting a little better.

Forgive me for sounding like noob but who exactly is Raidou? I'm new to the SMT franchise (completed Persona 4, briefly played Nocturne with Dante in it and I've just started Persona 3 FES) but I have heard Raidou is a popular character in it but I don't know who he is or what games he's in.

you know, it would be awsome if Atlus put Kyuuyaku Megami Tensei andSMT 1 and 2 on the virtual console, and then released an updated version of Nocturne on the Wii and PS2, with the ability to get both Dante and Raidou (even though they are pretty much the same)

Does anyone know if there will ever be a sequel to Nocturne? I have emailed Atlus U.S, but no one bothers to respond. Maybe if someone who speaks Japanese could ask Atlus in JP this question? That would be the best!!

This was a limited edition release bonus game for one of Raidou's game. So it's Japanese only.

As for a sequel...well who knows. SMT are released sporadically. There was like a 10 year gap between SMT 2 and Nocturne for example where they worked on off shoots.

Looks like Raidou's "Roundtrip" causes a status ailment--something Dante's doesn't. I guess that's why he has Bullet-Time. I honestly liked Dante better. More stylish cutscenes too.

Except that's not exactly his "Roundtrip" since it deals physical damage, not elec, which would make that Raidou's version of Bullet-Time.

The attack at 6:56 in this video would be his "Roundtrip" since that deals elec damage. (It was used on Rangdas in another video elsewhere, and they were weak to it.)

All of his abilities appear to be exactly identical to Dante's skills, but at least Raidou is in the same metaverse as Nocturne, as compared to Dante, so it kind of works better.

yeah i have to agree with you on the appearance aspect. his version of rebellion, aside from being cooler looking, is much more devastating. in the other video Chomei put up of the first fight he was dealing critcal and killing hits every time he used it.

no Mokoi is the demon that he uses for the Round Trip attack where Dante threw his sword and it went through the enemy line and then came back like a boomerang

you're probably right about the under leveling thing, but i also agree on the appearance thing Raidou's skills are better than dante's there's the status effect aspect, and also the fact that Dante's sword slash skill Rebellion NEVER did the amount of critical hits that Raidou's attacks did
