some people need to understand that the reason this seems silly is because it is actually a comedy and PJ has a great sense of humour and for those who wonder how we went from this to LOTR might be because back then he couldn't get much budget. PJ mentions in his biography that this was actually the last movie where he was hand-on with the FX. now, for those who think he sold-out, well I see it differently, it was always PJ's dream to make LOTR and KK so he did

Its hard to believe that this is how peter jackson started his career in movie making, his first film been bad taste then braindead then it was this film. To be honest i have seen all these films i have bad taste and braindead on DVD.

Well actually, the person who di the effects in all of peters movies started a company called wiker studio, and he worked with peter for lord of the rings, how ever peter some how got the money together and bought the rights to the lord of the rings movie from thwe guys who originally made the cartoon version. Then the film company gave 250 million for the three movies but he spent most of that on the first one. The fellowship was so succesful they funded him for the rest.
