  • We carry them for the Tahoe, but we currently do not have them available for your Sonoma. You could try your local dealership. Hope this helps you out.

  • Great idea!!! Thank you. Where can i get one of those springs for a GMC Sonoma?

  • God bless you, thanks for your tip

  • Excellent video!!! I needed this!

  • Awesome video. Keep em coming!!

  • Have you tried using a drum brake spring compressor tool? They seem like the perfect tool for that job.

  • nice, thanks

  • Doing this in a few hours when the sun comes up, looks pretty easy.

  • @anderberger Good Luck! Please visit 1A Auto dot com next time you need parts for your Chevy or GMC Truck, SUV or any other car or truck.

  • Great video Thank You!

  • Try Torching the ties with a soldering/sweating tip. It works great and gets all of the ties easily. Thanks!

  • Could you just hit the wire ties with a torch to melt/release them?

  • @markeyjames22 Yes you could do that if you are experienced in handling a torch.

  • I also use the wire tie method to compress the springs but instead of cutting them, I use a long piece of wire and heat the tip red hot and touch it to the wire ties. It only saves a minute, but anytime I don't have to handle razors is a good time when working on a car! LOL Thanks for your vids, they are great!

  • @donjonsone1 Be careful handling the razor knife and be careful with red hot wire as well.

  • you are awesome man. just ordered some hinge pins for my s10 and i'll use your guide to do the replace for sure.
