I agree with many of the comments on here. You have a decent voice and can obviously play the guitar well, and combine them which is not always easy to do ... but this song is meant to be immensly sad. The rock style makes it soulless. Sorry dude. Not the right choice of song.

it sounds like you're overdoing on the vocals. If you didn't try too hard for the "rock" vocals and went with an acoustic guitar this would be much better.
