bone marrow tranplant is when they take healthy bone marrow from a compatabel doner and tranfuse it in to a body that needs it by ivs and it is very tricky cuz you could go thrugh a period of rejection but befor hand you are put into a steril room and given all of the anti- rejection drugs and pretty much wipe out your imiune system
@jsrcamp, Bone Marrow transplant recipients don't take anti-rejection drugs, they take immunosuppressant drugs in order to prevent graft vs host disease or rejection of the bone marrow.
Hi, I'm a 32 yr old mom of two. I had my bone marrow transplant on May 12th it's been 40 days today. I will be praying for Mack's recovery along with my own.

Sometimes life is so unfair.
That little kid didn't do anything to deserve such punishment,
But sometimes life's like that and u have 2 be strong for her to be strong too...

so that your body wont try and fight off the new bone marrow but during this period of time you can get very sick if a littel germ gets throu to you.
