oh ok dude! well.. u know im more into AMD.. so what do u recommend? a 9850x4 black edition phenom, asus m3a32 mvp deluxe mobo, 8 gigs of ram.. or! a Q6600 a xfx 780i (or an asus mobo) and 8 gigs for windows XP 64 of course! or vista who cares!i just want a mobo with ddr2, and with graphics im going to wait for the 4870x2 dude! so what do u say? intel or amd? i saw a video here that amd`s render time is better! u know more than me so... what can i do? what should i buy? >__>
dude! i have like a year hoping to build a rig with a L1N64! an octacore, what do you recommend? you are the only guy in youtube with that rig... well.. "it was", why you change it? because of pci exp 2.0? or the motherboard or the system is all bugy? tell me how good is that pc and if better to build another one with just a quad core! im a gamer but i need a lot of processing cause im into the 3d animation, using 3ds max, maya and those kind os software! hope u answer
Well I personally thought for the time the quad fx platform was good, but I don't recommend it now. I also do 3d modeling and animation and I got a huge increase after the Core 2 Extreme. The Quad Fx Platform is powerful but not worth the money. If you are interested in dual cpu solutions, get it. But it has about the power of Q6600. They are also on the 90nm processs so it gets hot in there. I recommend a q9300 on the 45nm process.
love the 64 FX series =) a question... what is the diffrence between the FX and the 6000? or the 5200+ ... doesn't matter! they both have 2mb cache and 90nm build.. same fsb i thin to right? is their any major diffrences?
I dont care that the framerate goes to the mid 20s at times during games. I care that if it's maxed out and it's playable. Most people are too obsessed with framerate that they immedeatly bash the card dispite it able to max out most games.
i got the Nvidia geforce 8500 gt card to but yesterday I installed Crysis so when i played and turned the graphics to medium it still wasnt perfect at all and ur saying that u can play crysis at high 1024*768 it will work but wont go smooth pls help me out
what brand is ur 8500gt..??? and what is the minimum PSU unit i need to oc my 8500gt to reach those setting of urs..?? coz mine oni can oc till GPU 708 n memory till 508@1016... pls2 tell me is it b coz of the PSU....???
thats really good!!!! im getting an Geforce 8500 too so according to this it should run smoothly Imgetting an 8500 because i bought airborne at my computer needed a new vid card
yes but make sure u buy the PNY 8500GT 512mb ddr2 version because it has 32 stream processors and it outpreforms some 8600gt's and its only 80$ now i think
ok....1) I own this mobo and it does not support DDR3, it supports DDR2 @ 800MHz. 2) You have 4 Cores in total, not 8, only the new AMD Phenom processors are Quad Cores and they will support this mobo. 3) 8500 will not run Crysis at All High. But...i have to say...great vid...
yeah...sorry...my bad...i rechecked and it was the 7500 that would not run Crysis at high and i also checked the RAM...ur PC "Detects" 1600MHz because ur RAM supports it... but the L1N64-SLI WS does not take full advantage of ur RAM so ur still using 800MHz...
actually,,,youre right about the Crysis not running on high in an 8500,,,i downloaded the Crysis Demo and i had to run them on low settings,,,my card couldnt take it
nice game u got there! and mostly graphics, i have a 8500 GT too, i'm a little intimidated by this game thought it might run laggy on 8500 GT, but im impressed what this card can do after i've seen this on ur vid. thanks a lot.
Can you help me, I've only seen the 8500GT chipset[512MB] with passive cooling, doesn't it get very hot with a passive heatsink since it's rather "heavy"? I've from some people that it reached over 100 degrees celsius after an hour of gaming. : /

You need to tell the people which 790i Ultra motherboard you have. The XFX/EVGA 790i or the Asus Striker II Extreme ;).

I hate it that the 8500 is unrightfully hated on simply because it's not as powerful as the 8800. This is possibly the best budget card in existance.

overclocked 8500, why not just buy 8800's in sli mode! runs alot better without overclocking or using watercooling!!

I do have an 8800
its just a pass time to mod it I guess.

Okay im saying this once more.
My 8500gt is completely MODDED.
Water cooled, voltmodded, overclocked like hell.

I'm running an 8500GT 512 MB. no way can you run crysis on anything but 800x600 at low. it DRAGS on even medium at 1024.
could be vista, but I have all the themes and aero turned off. and I'm running a dual core with 3 GB of ram.

Not for 8500s bud.

ddr2 or gddr2 standard.

1. Its detecting at 1600mhz so give it a try,
2. I know I have four cores in total.
3. 8500 can handle crysis at high if on directx 10
because seemingly I get a higher framerate on dx10.
and because of how powerful the rest of the system is it helps it get a playable framerate
rminb010204 4 years ago

I am so happy to see someone with a AMD FX 74 with 8 cores true 64 bit CPU.
AMD FOREVER!!!
PS: by the way that Asus mobo supports ddr3?
seytonic6 4 years ago 2
It's actually four cores,
and the mobo reads the speeds correctly.
I don't think it officially is supported
but it detects at 1600mhz
so I guess it can read it.
