This guys is saying the things me and my family have been saying for years. I'm wholeheartedly behind Obama, and i've never before seen a canidate for president i've believed in like this.
Either he has amazing charisma, or he really is the best thing for this country.
It is the same hope that I held since I came to the US when I was 10 years old w/o any family. Its the same HOPE I give to all all American. Mr. Obama is the Beacon of HOPE for the WORLD!!!!
After the initial storm of this Clinton attack, when the dust settles and everybody has a chance to look at things more objetively, people will realize that while Obama's comment may have been worded clumsily, it's nowhere near as bad as the ruthlessness and political dishonesty with which Clinton exploited it to commit character assasination and to undermine her own Party for her self-interest.
Clinton, you represent everything we're tired of. Go away.
If Obama has the nomination stolen from him via superdelegates, there will be rioting in the streets. But more severe & profound than 68 because of the connected world we live in. People are fed up & emotionally invested in this election like never before. Something is going to give this election. Don't be supprised when Martial Law is called in by Bush if the cities burn. With the new & vast executive powers he has, the elections could be suspended indefenately. I hope I'm wrong. We shall see.
There's you go BO! What are they saying when they call you out of touch. You came from humble begining. I cannot believe your words have been taken out of context by the other two candidates. It's a shame to say that you are elitist!
It really is sad to see McCain steep that low. I mean Clinton is desperate but I expected McCain at least to be decent about this whole thing. At the same time I see that CNN have started fishing in the muddy waters to influence the elections. There is so much at stake this time, this is going to influence the future of America and all I see is ENVIOUS opponents and BITTER networks.
For the "No child left behind" bill you can search for an interview here on youtube (Barack Obama: No Child Left Behind). If I got that right he would modify the bill because standardized testing is bad, while tracking individual student progress and providing ressources for schools would be more likely to bring something good.
I agree. He had to work really hard for his fortune. This man deserves to be succesful. I hope I can be like him and do more for my community (I am). Obama 08!
People of Pennsylvania, you can make your vote count decisively! Barack Obama has gained 53 Super delegates since super-tuesday Cinton has lost 5. This nomination will be decided by the super delegates & we know which way they're going. Make history & give Barack Obama a landslide victory! This will make him our nominee and unite the party against John McCain. It's time we put a peoples president in office. No lobbyists or Special interests!
He says true words.. the rest of the candidates run for publicity and try to put him down because they know that the power of people is well above the power of money and as Obama has said in his other speeches was only compliments to the other candidates and I think he is right in every way. I live in the United Kingdom and yet I wish that he was the president here as a lot of work needs to be done.. around the whole world with the power of the people.
This is a debate McCain will lose. He and his wife are worth more than $100m, Obama maybe $2m.
People are smart and they know the person that has the money. Obama had the least of all the candidates but the American people like the American story have made his fundraising a magical story.
Well said. Barack is more of a real person than any of these candidates, and the white house needs someone that is going to be a representation of the country's growth and rhetorical sensitivity. Obama is simply everything people should expect out of a person first, then politician.
just read about his family in Times, this week's issue....yeah, he's right about single parent, food stamps, grandparents and scholarships....also try his books, he writes about his family....
Your question is strange? Exactly what kind of family are you looking? We know nothing about Hillary and McCain's external families. Why should you ask such question? Why don't you do your research I'm sure it's out there.
cooper1301, we actually know a lot about his family. There have been many articles written about his parents, grandparents, step father, half-siblings and step-siblings, and more distant relatives. Both of his parents passed away, he has half-sister who is a teacher in Hawaii, one of his grandmothers is still alive in the US, and he has a grand-mother and many cousins, half-siblings, and step-siblings living in Africa.
If you work really hard you can convince yourself that you can't find this information. Otherwise use Google and in 2 minutes you will find all you need. It is clear you want to believe something else.
ARE U F..ING CRAZY???... DIDN'T HE SAY IN HIS BACK AND IN MANY SPEECHES THAT HE WAS RAISED IN KANSAS BY HIS SINGLE MOTHER AND HER GRANDPARENTS??... he's father left him at 2 and went back from kanye and there died in a car accident. His grandmother has been showned on tv many times. His Grandmother appeared recently in a commercial in Pennsylvania. He Speaks about them clearly in both Books his has out there now.. DREAMS OF MY FATHER AND THE AUDACITY OF HOPE... do some research, numb nut.
In reply to cooper1301. It's only been broadcast over and over again concerning his background, family etc. Including his biography on TV, his speeches and in his books. We know a lot of his unbringing. Where have you been cooper? Do some easy reserch.
He has written two books and both Time magazine and The New York Times have written articles about his mother who passed away in 1995 from cancer. There is lots of information out there about his American grandparents from Kansas - I believe his grandmother also passed - and his Kenyan father and grandmother (there's a youtube video with his grandma). His most influential family members would be his maternal family - his mother and grandparents - since his father left when he was 2 years old.
It's absolutely ludicrous to suggest that Senator Obama is an elitist when his upbringing is so much more modest than those of Senators Clinton or McCain.
they are afraid of him and they are attacking him any way they can. he is not part of the normal power train of enterprise but he is the power of the people.

Mr. Obama has a net worth of about 1.4 million. Clinton, about 34 million. Who's the elitist?
Obama worked himself up from the bottom. He is the symbol of the American dream. I hope he makes millions more, he's earned it.

Keep it real, and be careful.
There are a LOT of snakes and fakes out there, just waiting for ANY reason to throw mud in your face.
DO NOT falter. Your supporters are behind you ALL THE WAY.
