i'm a deaf lady who recieved a cochlear implant last month and have been given the gift of hearing. i cannot explain the blessings bestowed upon me and i just praised God with my whole being and stumbled on you tube until i found this song and all i can say is halleujah, i sooo love this song it really speaks about the love of the gospel and is the very 1st hymn i've come to love so imensly ever since being able to hear. i told my loved ones that this will be sung at my funeral. It's too bad, isn't it, that so many churches nowadays have departed from these great hymns, life Fanny Crosby's, replacing them with repetitive choruses that seem so bland in comparison, lacking doctrinal content as well.
