While some here may not have a full understanding of politics or war, as id think NONE of you actually lived that time, really it's simple to see Nicholas did the things he did for his family. IF he had focused only on being Tsar and war and politics, some would say he felt nothing for his personal life. See, can't have it both ways, folks. That's how society is fucked up. In the end, he probably wasn't the best candidate for Tsar, but he was a perfect family man.
You can all say that Nicholas was a bad man, or a greedy man, or a weak and ignorant ruler. But as far as im concerned, he could have been the most horrible man on earth, but his family did not deserve to suffer. Did his children do anything at all to deserve what they got? No. No they did not. Did his wife? She didn't deserve the suffering either. And as for Nicholas, wether he was weak or bad or greedy, I dont believe he deserved to die. So, I say R.I.P The Romanovs
That Mottherfuckers networth was 30 billion dollars! His people were starving and being killed. He could of change his country with one billion dollars, but he didn't. Greedy asshole. He brought it upon himself and his family. I think by the way the story shows,at the end he looks like he was really sorry for what he had done. He was human and power and that insane amount of money can make a person greedy . 30 billion!!
@TheGreg131313 You really think the children deserved to be murdered? Their mother? They were very happy to just leave and live in England... not stop it at all... the entire treatment of the innocent, and they WERE innocent, shows just how much value honor really had.
Guy below me. Do you know anything about history. Nicholas was weak, unpopular. He was known as bloody Nicholas.... 1905 Russia lost against Japan. Lost first world war.
Nicolas was NOT a good tsar. He was a weak ruler who involved Russia into IWW(absolutelly unnecessary one) when the economy of the country was not prepared at all. And when it was was the top-moment for him to show his power and might, when the motherland needed a strong hand, which could defend Russia from freaking communists. This movie shows all the situation perfectly. He was a victim of own weakness. But of course, I do NOT think, that the execution of the entire family was a correct thing.
in the opening frames of this part of the movie(00:00-00:40) what is in the compartments in the tsars vest looking thing? Are those scrolls? Does anyone know?
Poor Nicholas, he was a weak Tsar but like Louis XIV the situations they reigned over built up over decades and previous rulers. I can just imagine how horrible he felt that his people were declaring him a failure. And now I realize why he made the decision that Alexei would not reign in his place but stay with his family.
Actually it was the other way around why do you think there was a Russian Revolution. People don't have a revolution unless their oppressed. They had food after the Bolsheviks and Lenin came into power, and they went back being poor again when Stalin came into power. (Im not Russian)
@MobHeataEnt that's usually the case but i think there was something else going on with the Romanov s something sinister. You're free to believe what you choose both of us will have to research it ourselves.
@freelancelady once i have the name of the book I'll gladly tell you. It said that by 1786 3 world wars were already planned. The first was with the sole purpose of killing the Romanov family. The second war was to establish Israel as a country. The third war is to pit Judaism and Islam against each other as is my understanding.
@TheCuppycakedelight5 I think what you are talking of is actually about a letter from Albert Pike a Confederate General/U.S. Civil War to an Italian diplomat named Guiseppi(something?) The story is that both were brothers of an international Freemason lodge and that the U.S. general was conveying to his confidant on how the masonic lodges planned to infiltrate each facet of goverenments worldwide. It was to be a slow plan-to take a "long" time; so much time that it took generations?...
@TheCuppycakedelight5 It was to induce conflict and strife that took so long that after awhile the masses would forget what the fighting was all about?...kind of like the war on terror is now?...lets face it-10yrs from now; the soldiers of that time will not remember 911/they were just born then? Anyways-the idea is to create chaos and the disbelief in God-or a war over what is God-or which "God" is the true god? It is to enslave people who turn away fro God because they become bitter about war
@TheCuppycakedelight5 It is a way to make all people "comply" with "governence" for security instead of praying for peace from God. It is Satanic. Its a plan to allow the worship of Lucifer over God-basically? Tsar Nicholas was truely the last "ruling" monarach in the world to be the "defender of faith" for Christianity-all the other monarchs had been deposed or succeeded from their title? He was the last hold out. Thats why he was overthrown and it was implemented by satanic scum. Luciferians.
@freelancelady It is my understanding that the Romanov family line (just like all Monarchs) were both positive and negative? They had good Kings and Queens and bad ones too-so it sort of depends on which camp you want to side with as to about being "sinister" From our perspective of hindsight though, I'd say he was way better than Stalin who followed years and years later. i really think Tsar Nicolas loved his people-he was just out of touch with them-he did love God and his family tho-it is sad
@freelancelady The Russian Orthodox church has "sainted" Tsar Nicolas's family and to me-that seems like the most logical and decent thing they could do-so bless the church for righting a terrible wrong/of coarse without the fall of marxists views that couldn't have been possible either? God bless Russia and the Orthodox faith-God bless the Roman Catholic church and I pray she and her people come back into the fold of our faith the way Jesus intended it? God Bless Friends.
