I'm a Lyme sufferer that wasn't helped with antibiotics. However, I know that IDSA panel members ARE biased for financial reasons. Check for toxic mold exposure though. @Bakarryox EXACTLY RIGHT BAKARRYOX. Less than half get the bullseye like myself didn't! I was treated right away and I am still chronic with Lyme 3 years later and my daughter has been for years. I have infectious diease specialists telling me there is no such thing in Arkansas!! 3 from uams in one day!! I have been lied to and so is our country as well as others. I have lyme. I had 2 months of samento (cat's claw) 4 months of antibiotics. I was mad,I had to cry,I was agressive and I was very sick. I was lucky enough to find a very good doctor. She made me better-but I'll never be the healty person as I was before. I can't get children anymore.

How do you come to the determination that 70% of people have the rash? I would be very careful with making that kind of assessment. No one should be refused treatment or insurance. If a patient agrees with their doctor that they'd like to try long term antibiotics back off. I am so sick of politics, health insurance companies, and doctors with a conflict of interest getting involved. You have no right to keep people from being well and compromising a patient's heath.

Listen - the bulls eye rash is not that common! The Dr. (Marie Savar sp?) on this video says 70 to 80% of people have a bulls eye rash. This is NOT TRUE!!! Only 25 to 40% of people have a bulls eye. This is huge misinformation that leaves too many people sick!! I was bitten twice, have been sick for 18 years...no bulls eye rash. I only know one person with Lyme disease that saw/had a bulls eye rash. I had a rash, but it looked like shingles. I hope people read this. It's a terrible disease.
