my sister was 20 minutes from dying when she was 7 from a brain tumor. 7 years later she is (almost) okay, and I can really feel for him. Its never a happy thing to have a family member get cancer, I know because my mom had (eye) cancer too. People who dislike this video aren't thinking about the kids, adults, familes who are devestated right now because a loved one is in the hospital or dead because of brain tumors. This IS a serious thing, and is the cause of death for too many adults and kids

The race was on May 3, 2009 and he said his brother died yesterday, so I'm assuming that was May 2.

My father did of brain cancer. He died 9 months later. Adam fought this for 10 years. How hard it must have been for his family. David Cook is one class act and a true American Idol in every sense of the word.

gosh.. I got a little choked up there in the middle. david seems like a really nice guy.. and he's funny. I'm so sorry for his loss and so happy for all of the survivors. God bless you all.

guud am soo saad !! i also been in the same thing my cousin she died withe a canser and she was just 16 it was really hard 4 all of us,, but beleive me am sure that they are all in heaven and they are in place best than her !!

david is i think one of the strongist and most real celebrity out there. to stay in the public eye and deal with his emotions with his fans insted of hiding makes him an inspiration. he knows that its ok to make jokes and have fun in his time of hurt. God bless David and Rest in Peace Adam.

I have watched this clip a few time and everytime i get goosebumps and well up at 1 min 23 sec and that gasp from the audiance. Very sad story and video. Good on David for doing this though! x

this is the first time tht i seen this and ya it is sad ive lost several family members from cancer and ill probally have it when i get older... but david is strong... i never cry about a death i cry when i no tht they r sick and about to die tho hell i cryed more the day my gma got put in a nursing home than the day she died so david must have been rly strong cus even i wud have had to sneak in a tear... maybe

I know how David feels!:( On the same date tht his brother died my brother died from getting shot and it was hard!:( but my brother died on May 3rd, 2006. I miss him so much!
