0:20 What an absolute joke! JJ Stokes was the reason John Taylor was forced into early retirement, he was the reason the 49ers let Ed McCaffrey go to Denver, and he was the guy the 49ers chose to keep over Jerry Rice. Imagine if Steve Young had Rice, McCaffrey, and Owens from 1996 onward, he easily could have won another Super Bowl or two.
@SportsFreakfrom94598 jj stokes was not a bad pick at the time. just never panned out.but if you wanna hate stokes even more we traded away the next years pick to move up to get stokes to the browns who became the ravens and you know who they got with that pick? ray lewis. bummer.
That was also the year Rice had 1,848 receiving yards. Still to this day the single season mark for receiving yards. For some reason that year a lot of receivers put up some ridiculous numbers!
@mpj32587 1995 was when the receivers from the old school and the receivers from the new school clashed together. Running backs started becoming a second option, and all the great cornerbacks were clumped together on the same team. I miss the NFL 1995 and before.
In 1995 9 players had 100 or more receptions! Jerry Rice and Cris Carter each caught 122 and Herman Moore caught 123. Which was the single season NFL record until Marvin Harrison had 143 receptions in 2002.

Yards After Catch. Watch as Jerry catches the ball and immediately finds the best path to the endzone. That was Jerry's trademark.
