I just love the look Sherlock gives the taxi driver after he calls him stupid..coupled with that change in background music it's like: "ooooh! No you didn't!"
there are lot of things that were improved in normal episode, but some fragments of plot are much better in this version! like this one: he figured out quickly the taxi driver is the murder, not the passanger. he is genius and that was not so difficult to find out.
sherlock is more like a grumpy teenager in the unaired pilot. he looks (and acts) much more mature in the real series...well, apart from his little seven year old sulking fits.
God, Ben is beautiful in this pilot. I mean, he's really striking and perfect as Sherlock in the regular episode, but he is just painfully gorgeous in this damn pilot.
as much as i love benedict as sherlock, i'm glad they didn't want just the pilot (with its 60 min), it's great, that they wanted 90 min-ones. and i'm glad that ben is acting more "cold and less careing" than he does in the pilot.
i think if they would have taken this as 1st episode, it would make him look like a weakling (gets drugged by a cabby, i mean,come on...) - sherlock isn't weak, and i LOVE this show! god, i can't wait for the 3rd season to come...
"Oh, I see, so you're a proper genius too!" made me laugh like crazy. Only Sherlock would manage to sound so aloof while speaking into a table.
