Hey, question on the sp-505. How can I(if I can) record scratches and other samples while playing a pattern. Everytime I hit sample, the beat stops and I can only record in silence. This makes it hard to scratch and sample over the beat. Any suggestions? I hope this is possible. thanks.. myspace/earphtone

Hey olby another question. I chop a sample that I recorded to the 505 and chop it to 10 pads however after it is done chopping, it asks to save which I say yes and it says "error memory full" because It keeps trying to save it to the chop bank is there any way I can tell it to save it to the card because I have plenty of room on that.

how many track can be record on this machines?

4 track rite?

yeah, it has 4 mute tracks. you can of course record all your sequence to track 1 but then you wont be able to mute specific instruments (drums, bass, etc.)

before i got into sampling and beat makin' i looked at all the samplers out there, and ive fallin in love with a beautiful mpc2000xl with a fat ass and nicce set of titties :0)

I agree I have the SP 505, and I've never used it after the first time I took it out the box. I prfer the MP 2500, much better.

Yeah I do not use it often after I got MPC1K but this machines has little nice bits that MPC does not offer. So if you couple them together it is a killer setting.
