yeah, but you gotta remember this movie came out in the 90s....and this was how they predicted the future in 2000.. I mean I saw this when I was a kid and thought it was cool, especially the car this it was all aerodynamically shaped..but now its 2008 and nothing now in this day in age resembles anything in the movie...so of course if we compare our present to the one in the movie, its gonna look cheesey...

i mean granted, the fact they are Beretta police cars is only half the problem, it's the fact that they're beretta COUPES...Granted, there are two-door police cars out there, i've seen them more than a few times in person, camaros, mustangs, etc. understandable, they're used for high speed highway pursuit mostly. But Berettas aren't exactly speed demons, soooo basically it's the equivalent of a full-blown rent-a-cop kit.

well low budget film cheap car,it just works out for the best.what may have been usefull was perhaps the a four door coupe like the dodge intrepid or neon if they wanted low budget besides the berettas are FWD so almost usless but i do know about the intrepid and the impala interceptors they are FWD...

yeah, they tried this in Season 2 in the episode "Return To Cadiz" and used a miniature to make up for the stunt, and it didn't work. Yet again they recreated that stunt with the Knight 4000 and used a more bigger miniature than the 1st ones

the two things I hate in this movie is: 1. Edward Mulhare's character got killed off and 2. K.I.T.T. didn't even turbo boost. I expected at least one jump from the new K.I.T.T. still nice movie though

I don't tink that car can land with a front end like that if it turbo boosts. KITT probably lost this feature in the film

Yes, KITT had an absolete amphibious mode in the series. By the way, compare the voice of KITT in the Knight Rider pilot episode where he first spoke (What would you like to hear?) and KITT's voice here.I was actualy suprised to hear that KITT's voice was so clear like a normal human's and didn't sound like a machine at all...

They tried this in Season 2. It didn't work then, it looks even worse in KR 2000. The old KITT would have Turbo Boosted over all that traffic.
