Could anybody give a translation of "Kungla Rahvas" lyrics into English or German ? We want to sing this song with our choir, and do not know what we are singing (except of the word "eesti" ;-)
O, Gaudeamus! It's a well-known fesitival! Though I've never been there. :)
But in Soviet time a choir where I sing - Male Choir of the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (MEPhI) - often participated in Tartu's Gaudeamuses (and also in other Baltic song festivals).
By the way, Gaudeamus Festival and MEPhI Male choir are of the same age, and in 2006-2007 we have our 50th jubilee too.

This Student Song Festival was held in Tartu. The Tallinn Song Bowl is much bigger and you can see the Gulf of Finland in the Background
