BMW didnt invent the market segment with the X5. The Mercedes ML series SUV had already been a sales hit before the X5 was released! And then theres that little thing called the Range Rover... i think it predates the X5 by , oh, 25 years.

well the range rover as a matter of fact is quite a delicate car, ive had a range rover and a x5, and to be honest the range rover is a fantastic car, but compared with the x5, u already can even see when u look at the new hse sport that their technology is behind...

Even the X6 which claimed to have created a new niche was 2 years after the Mazda CX-7 sports SUV which actually created the new niche and will easily show the X6 a clean pair of heels up a twisty mountain road. BMW is pretending to create vehicles when in fact they just copy. Jesus, isn't the X1 like the other 50 compact SUV's to have already flooded the market?

I like BMW but I'm annoyed that they have to cheapen their brand with dodgy bumph from their marketing department.

common ppl stop it..its very simple,some of us love mercedes,others are big fans of bmw,me personnally I never really liked BMW but guess what.I apreciate the diesel tehnology they developed...the 2.0 liter 163 bhp an 50mpg rocks plus I love the 3series coupe cabrio...But yes,my favourites are japanese(dont be fooled by the profile name,I come from Europe) cause they build nice solid,simple and durable cars,..
