This is my favorite Herb Alpert & TJB offering, bar none. Only in the last couple of years have I become aware (through another YouTube video) that Herb is not a Mexican at all, but a Jewish kid from LA. He learned trumpet from one Ziggy Elman, a great jazz horn man from an earlier generation... Perhaps Herb's ethnic background is responsible for this FANTASTIC interpretation of this song from Fiddler On The Roof...
I remember listening to the Albums of Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass. This music relaxed me when I was a hyper active kid! My Favorites were, The Lonely Bull, What Now My Love & Going Places! I had the Albums stacked, on the record player. That's some Great Memories of long ago. It all started when I was 8 Years old! I'm 45 Years old now and love the music, as much as I did back then!
On of my favorites of his many great recordings.
