I am much better with the 360 controller (Don't yell at me, I lost my alienware in a flood and my PC blows.) then i am with the wheel. For some damn reason i just got shitty reactions out of the wheels.

@TeamVVV I agree with this guy to an extent. I definitely think they should make a new F1 MANAGER because they have not made one since i think 1995. Although complicated, if worked out a little bit i'm sure it would be a great game. Especially if codemasters made it.

you should use KERS when you are in gear 4-7 to avoid spinning the wheels and overheating the tyres :) For maximimum effect use KERS just before you cross the finish line as you will get a double boost of power.

so much steering wheel lag. it was a problem last year and they havnt fixed it this year. bit of a shame because it forces me to use the controller because the lag between me turning the wheel and the car actually responding is upwards of half a second which is massive

KERS is most important exiting any slow corner as soon as your not traction limited, the slower you are going the more effect it has, mostly due to drag, using it above 200kph would give very little benefit.

KERS is included. but the FIA tells the drivers where they can use it in a race. but they haven't done it for every race. and F1 2011 come's out in september. will codemasters choose where we can use KERS in the races that are after september? our will they update it every time the FIA is choosing?

@SaitanMar Hi there, DRS works like KERS so you have to activate it manually with a button. For qualifying you can activate it anywhere you like but in races you can only activate in the DRS activation zone. Also, the DRS automatically deactivates when you brake (just like real like). Hope this helps.

As someone who uses a gamepad (can't use a steering wheel or pedals due to arthritis) I can drive smoothly even with a pad so it surprises me that so many people seem so jittery with the handling.

That spin at the Ring looked good. Nice to see that happening now. Looked way more real than last year when it was nearly impossible to get a car to go 360. I do hope they took out the spin saving braking mechanism that last years game had.

@TeamVVV I also think it has to do with the steering degrees. For example if it's default set to like 360 or 450 then they have to turn the wheel more. Last years game was at default 220 but the XBOX was setting the wheels to 270 so it seems they needed to turn more then they should. On pc you can correct this with the drivers.

@TeamVVV Pads were pretty easy in F1 2010, but in 2011 they seem to have focused on using a wheel and the result is that using a pad feels harder to get a smooth line. Part of this would probably come down the improved handling model which makes it a bit harder to drive these bad-boys, but the animation on the in-game wheel is definately choppy when using the pad.
