That IS a full size cannon, probably got a bore of at least an inch and a quarter. This is the sort of thing you'd see on a ship or castle wall as a pivot-gun, yeah it's smaller than your usual 12-pounder, but really easy to aim, and if you load it up with chain or grapeshot, it'll rip through people pretty easily.
