  • por favor traducirlo al español o subtitularlo

  • You dumbass egocentric americans. spain is not fuckin' portugal.

And cork trees take about 8 to 10 year to produce the cork you want to drink your fancy ass wines.

Take care of the world. Save Miguel

    [azeite] SOU JOÃO MIGUEL CUARALHO!!!!!111!!ELEVEN!![/azeite]

  • My name is miguel!!! xD!

    HAHAHA

  • was he screaming for me?

  • Fun video, good cause. In the UK or France, try Majestic Wine's website - choose a type of wine, key in natural cork in the Search Products box and tick search within results. You need to try a few different types because you have to buy a minimum of 12 bottles, but it's worth it as you're going to drink that much anyway eventually - and the ones I bought did all have natural corks.

  • SAVE MIGUEL !

    GOOD CAUSE

    VIDEO 5*

  • Save Miguel!

  • My name's Miguel o.o

haha this vid is hilarious, too. =)

  • please make another vid!

  • All the americans that are saying this is in Spain well, dont be so critic with all the Miss teen USA around there and just look at yourselves it s the same thing!

It s Portugal, buy a map!!

  • Great vid. Portugal produce 50% of cork worldwide. And another important fact: Wine tastes better when sealed with cork ;) . And of course, cork is environmentally friendly.

  • lol "SHOCKING"

  • i'm miguel lourenço xD

  • This simply HAS to be parody.

  • Okay...how 'bout this....don't harvest the friggin cork trees....but PLANT THEM!...wtf?

  • no you dont understand they take in more co2 when they are growing bark more than an unharvested tree bacically if the trees are harvisted not cut down they will take in more co2 so when you buy a bottle of wine make sure it has a cork top it will save the inviroment save the shieldy thing around the world and save you money

  • save Miguel

    eheh

  • what the heck!!!???

I didn't ask anyone for help!!!

  • Save Miguel :)

  • that must be worth watching

  • "I´m is the downtown Lisbon, Portugal." "Miguel is the second most popular name in all Portugal." (Rob Schneider) I think that's clearly Portugal. So, why that stupid discussion about the origin of the video? The point is the future of the cork forest, not if Portugal is Spain or if Spain is Portugal.

  • Save Miguel! is a good purpose, but you must save the cork industry. This is disappearing. Why? Because a handful of big industrial are stifling and kill the micro and small factories of stoppers.

    Save Miguel and save Miguel-Worker

  • Ah,..ah...

Rob Schneider is really funny , great advert..

    :)

  • this is in portugal stupid.. german fuck

  • Is Lisbon Portugal? I don't think so, idiot...

  • By the way, I was being sarcastic...

  • Great idea this campaign!!!!

I swear from now on i'll just buy CORKED bottles.

  • false!! this is in portugal

    lisbon is in portugal

    dahhh

  • It is hard, for a foreigner to know exactly if is portugal or spain as they are similar countries in many ways but it is Portugal indeed. That is indeed Lisbon and Rob is speaking portuguese (i can distinguish my own language from Spanish, although they are close :)) See ya

  • he is in lisbon... if I remember well that's the capital of portugal... and when he looks at the map, he is looking at a city caslled évora... where i live... é portugal seu idiota!

  • its deffo portugal

  • ganda rob,a defender as causas nacionais

  • Ah..ah... Very funny , rob ure the best. Cool video that u made in Portugal and for a very important reason. :)

  • shut up!!! It's Portugal asshole!!!

  • Portugal FTW!

  • PORTUGAL!!!!

  • We can save Miguel without drinking wine :p We use cork in many thing. Be aware and search ;)

  • Is not Spain. It's Portugal. Different countries, different culture, different people and different language. But friendly (some say)

  • OMFG this inst spain its Portugal...

  • It's not stupid, it's our final hope in saving the portuguese forests. We are destroying these portuguese trees to plant eucalyptus for the paper industry. The eucalyptus are not a mediterranean tree and they are causing fires and the desertification of Portugal.

Since nobody (not even the government) cares the trees (or the environment) then maybe they'll care about Miguel/cork...

This is a good idea, let's just hope it works.

  • If cork is good enough for Margaux and the likes, how come is not good enough for the rest of us that cannot afford those expensive wines?

  • you don't now what is a good wine! with cork is much better!

  • Hi Melody

Google my surname along with the word wine.

I can assure you I know good wine.

    Cheers

  • There's a lot of these Save Miguel videos and I love each one of them.

Juan Mann rocks & corks and I am glad he's on this! Hope Rob Schneider and him get together and pop a few good old corks.

  • Is this for real?

    I love Rob Schneider!

  • I love Rob.... can't wait to see it. Does anybody know when it's coming out?

  • its a bit of fun,whats next......

  • it has nothing to do with bullfighting...although something should be done against that also, save miguel is a campaign to support the use of corks on bottled wine

  • this isn't a spanish campaign. it is portuguese!

Rob Schneider is in portugal in this video!

  • jesus eezynow - what a miserable man (or woman) you are!

    It's just a lighthearted a. Don't be so negative!

  • How can this can't be true if me and girlfriend watch at cinema night ago at Reykjavik. It is Iceland. Will Ferrel is funny man.

  • Looks pretty funny. I'm interested to see where this goes. If it is an ad why cry about it? It's obviously effective...got your attention didn't it?

  • No tears here rackboy.. I just yawn when ad agencies like Whybin TBWA (who I reckon half the 'people' commenting here have an affiliation with) dress up an ad as content, when it's just about $elling us more $tuff. In this case, Portuguese corks, apparently! Sure, this is a great piece of film, but the artistic merits of it become peripheral when it's all a ruse. anyhoo, gunna go and crack me a bottle of some freshly sealed screw-top wine. see ya sheeple!

  • I think you're the one that only sees $... This is not just about selling "stuff"... it's a little mor complicated... cause if people start repacing corks and using plastic instead than the cork trees stop being "interesting" economically, and when that happens it becames mutch more difficult to preserve the trees. Cause unfortunatelly that's how things work.

And also cork is a natural and organic material, plastic on the other hand is everything but natural and enviroment friendly...

  • So, further to my [rant] below.. these videos and the whole 'save miguel' bullshit are an Ad for the, um Portuguese CORK industry of all things.. Try googling the headline "Cork puts 'Save Miguel' in it" to read the Australian Newspaper's report today. Lamest viral ever mayhaps.

  • So true. This is just a marketing campaign from the just proclaimed richest man in Portugal, Americo Amorim, which is the world leader in cork industry.

I have nothing against marketing campaigns, but all the environmental claims are bullsh*t, because corktrees in Portugal are a protected species that can only be put down in special situations.

  • this could've been great. hope it does well at cannes boys.

  • hah for the people that watched an inconvienant truth!!!!lol how true, rob shnieder and adam sandler should team up for a dork movie

  • is will ferrel in this one too? thats what i heard..

  • `the film looks brilliant. ~A mate of mind saw it it in paris and reckons it's gonna be huge. `go rob, save miguel you good thing

  • i like Rob,i dont care if this is an ad as long as it entertains me,which this does.Look forward to seeing more.

  • [begin rant] This is some crap ad for some crap product or other.. There were BIG bucks spent on advertising this in (at least) the sydney and melbourne newspapers today.. with just the words 'save miguel'. Plus some oh-so-mysterious, supposedly 'home made' signs hanging off a bridge on a victoria road, sydney invading my space.. I'm really sh*tted that i'm being treated like a f*cking moron by advertisers and can't wait to find out what it's about so i an AVOID it! [end rant]

  • bozo

  • stooge

  • Sammy Sammy Sammy,

Does no-one have a right to an opinion?

And what makes eezynow a bozo for having had a gutful of self-conscious advertising wank?

Given that a search for save miguel comes up with you posting the clip elsewhere, along with various other 'viral' media spruiking for vodaphone, sprite etc it's kind of hard to see you as impartial - and even harder to give your dismissive name-calling any credit.

Methinks you might just be an adworld stooge indeed! Does that make me a bozo too?

  • Sadoid

  • patsy

  • Who the hell is Maguel? How can I save him when I don't know who he is... but it looks good.

  • are you serious? (It's Miguel by the way)

  • Who is Miguel??

  • A tree.
