me and some mates were thinking of going to long reef for a spear fish this week i have couple of questions

1. is it protected?

2. we are using pole spears are there any areas you could recomend

Hey new up and coming spear fisho from northern beaches here, just after some tips to where to get a good starter price package from and some good novice places to go? Cheers

starter aye... get a cheap package with the spear gun, wet suit, flippers, goggles and snorkel.. ive seen a cheap pack with all that.

and if you are into it upgrade some gear later if you wish. Good luck!

Gread Video mate. do you dive there much, Is that a shore dive or boat dive?

That one was a boat dive, but I've swum out from the shore many times. That spot is in closer than "The Wall".
