As a Flames fan I obviously hate the Canucks and vice-versa but 2 Canucks I always had mad respect for were Linden and McLean. McLean's save in 94 against us was just epic, I was pissed off but I had to give him serious respect for one of the best saves i've ever witnessed.

I agree. McLean handed them every series and handed them the cup which they turned down. He is a payoff goalie. Luongo is not. If you can't be good in the playoffs as a goaltender, you aren't that great. He has to prove it.

Even though I am a Hurricanes fan, but I think Kirk McLean is my favorite Canuck goalie of all time. And I also liked the 1997-2007 Orca Canucks jerseys, especially with the 1997-1998 All-Star game logo up there.

hey you canuck. the rangers were the 1 seed in the east.i believe ( i know) the rangers finished 1st in the NHL with 112 pts. the canucks were the 7th seed. game should have been over in 5. leetch hit the crossbar and you guys took it the other way and scored. rangers deserved the cup.you cant tell me anyone but bure was better than leetch, mess, anderson,richter (HOF) mcclean wont be in the hall of fame,kovelev,or matteau.

Yeah the majority of those players will be in the (HOF) because of their accomplishments with the Edmonton Oilers. There is no way that Mike Richter, Kovalev or Matteau will be in the (HOF). By the way New York didn't win the Cup in 1994 it was the Edmonton Oilers since the Rangers signed the entire dynasty team lineup basically.

Kirk McLean is byfar, the best goalie the Canucks ever had. Auld may be another up-and-coming goaltender for us, but he is nowhere close to Captain Kirk's unique sense of determination.
