if u look very closely, there actually are references to the JSR series in the Air Gear. for example: the song "Hummin the Bassline" from the JSR series is actually remixed in the Air Gear soundtrack. the remix from air gear is called "Not Hummin but Vibin" there other references in there, but i can't say all of them

Ite Ogure, the author of Air Gear, stated right from the start that the Jet Set Radio games were the main influence for Air Gear.

I don't know if this part is true, but I heard that he was given Sega's full support on the condition that he doesn't make anything too much like the games.

Ur rite JSRF doesn't need a anime it needs a sequel but the thing about the good sonic games ur wrong...sonic and the black knight was just bad...i mean hes suppose to be the fastest thing alive but they give him a sword and slows him down to man in wheel chair speed.I mean the last game that i really liked from the sonic series was Sonic Adventure 2 Battle.(heroes was ok just was pissed that they took off the chao).

Air Gear is a bit similar to Jet Set, but the difference here is that Air Gear does not battle w/ graffiti but they got similar challenges Air gear jus has more variety. They both use motorized roller blades, but called Air Treks(ATs) in AG. Its interesting to watch, check it out if you want.

you should, but The GBA version is nothing like the Dreamcast version. I bought the Dreamcast version at a local swapmeet, best 5 bucks ever spent, I hope they make a Jet Grind "or Set" Radio for xbox 360. I think they should have a cell-shaded design with an awesome 3-d feel.
