@WafflE915 it's not that you don't NEED them. some prefer to have the extra safety since cuts on the elbows could easily happen when and if you fall. just won't be life threatening like a blow to the head would but i think everyone likes to enjoy life without road rash lol

@PaintballEclipse that wasn't the same as stinkbugging. yes he grabbed in between his legs but he folded his back leg down to make room for his hand to grab the rail just in front of his back foot. stinkbugging is where you basically just squat with the legs wide open and grab in the middle of the rail, looks dumb and you don't have as much balance.

@Dpett122, a very popular knee pad around here is the 187 fly knee pad. These knee pads have minimal bulk to them but still feature a strong plastic knee cap that is flat on the front allowing you to slide out on your knees more easily.

How do the knee pads stay on his knees when he slides? Mine seem like they would grip the pavement and slide down my knees, thus making my kneecaps bare to slide on the pavement.

@1tokeover thanks for the question. This is a move that definitely takes some practice but is super valuable if you can get it down. Essentially, his knee pads are flat, not rounded (they are intended for vert skateboarding) and they are very securely fastened when he does this. Basically, you want to make sure you lean back a lot when you fall on your knees, to evenly distribute the weight over the whole of the plastic knee protector. It's a difficult thing to try to describe.

Wich board is better Landyachtz 925 or the landyachtz battle axe?

@aznboi7821 it totally depends on what you are looking to do with the board and your riding preference. The battle-axe has drop-through truck mountings and is made of bamboo and as such is a cruising/carving machine that can slide when you need it to but may not be as stable at speed. The 9two5 on the other hand is drop through as well but made of harder wood and features a wider riding platform. That makes this board excellent for sliding, free-riding and downhill.
